Safety Mike Basile, the all time leading tackler for Monmouth gets a tryout tomorrow for the Giants. Went undrafted this past April. Small college All American
You always get some players out of that conference. Â
At Monmouth for a while for the program. Mike is a great guy. Very strong leader and hard worker. Great tackler. Always tried to lead the other guys on defense, and was always eager to learn. Definitely played against smaller or lesser comp but he is a nice player. Will be rooting for him.
My parents drove him to basketball practices when we were kids. He just put his head down and worked his ass off. Good team player who lives in the weight room.
He’s very fast too. IIRC if he was invited to the combine, his forty time at his pro day would have been the fastest forty for a safety at the combine, not that it means much. He had good range and isn’t afraid to hit.
There was always a competition between him and Mike Gesicki whenever Brick Memorial played Southern Regional in football or basketball. Gesicki was drafted in the second round by the Dolphins this year out of Penn State.
He is def a great locker room guy.

Agreed. Great stuff. Thanks.
Isn't it funny how "apart" and "a part" essentially have opposite meanings?
