I agree with the Mayfield not coming in early was a bad look, but when he was playing I liked his interaction with the entire team. You can see his competitive nature and he seemed like someone you would want to play with.
I love this show and look forward to it every year. I came away more impressed with Landry as I didn’t realize how hard of a worker he is. Also next weeks episode is going to be a must watch as it will be centered around the first preseason game. So we should get some good Giants stuff.
and it shows well on Odell too.. Not to make this too much of a stretch, but they do work out together in the off-season constantly and they're extremely close. They've both said in past interviews that they push each other to be the best.

In my business if you have seen what a person is more then one time, it's very very rare that they will even eventually get it. Cut your losses before they get you in more trouble. Let him be someone elses problem.
Whether it is ourselves, or family/friends that have dealt with addiction. But I think Cleveland is doing the right thing with Josh Gordon. He doesn't have heinous crimes on his record or anything. Just seems like he has some demons which he is having trouble escaping.

He's one of the best WR's in football when he's on the field and he's making peanuts right now. It would make no sense to do that.
Where Gordon doesn't want to be a spectacle on Hard Knocks. I really don't blame him after trying to get his life back in order. There are more important things in life than making money like health and well-being. He came this far and if this is what he feels is best to keep him on track then so be it. If Cleveland is over it then release/trade him. If they are willing to he patient then let this run its course. Imo, they are waiting to capitalize on trading him so they can get something for him so they will put up with a lot of stuff as long as they still have control of him.
He is not going to make the team. He is just a camp arm. They are making him do tons of grunt work. For 4 weeks of Camp Pay. That is what $4000-5000? Then his NFL career will be over. Maybe he will get a shot in Europe, CFL, or the Arena league.
If not he has to get a real job.

The guy is grieving the loss of his mother and brother within a 2 week time period. Maybe we are seeing that a little bit in that meeting.
I watched him on Cincy Hardknocks and he seemed like a good positional coach. He'll coach wherever you need him, and that might be the better niche for him.
