I'm really ineffective at it. I just piss them off

- jcn is great with BBQ advice. Peter in Atlanta is the best, but he's not here anymore
- YAJ is great for fantasy football advice
- Randy in CT was great for alien advice, but he's not here anymore
- Dorgan is great on coaching/tactical advice, but he's old as dirt

Can attest to all of these. jcn not just bbq, he knows a lot about multiple cooking methods (as does FMiC) and Peter in Atlanta really took time to walk me through smoking as a beginner to the point my friends and family all consider me the expert. Peter had some really good youtube videos too. maybe they're still out there.

for bathroom etiquette and relationship advice. Countless embarrassing situations and relationships have been saved by BBI!

and scouts are on this site.

there are at least a few chefs on here or people with great recipes like CRinCA, smhsmith (or something like that) someone in Utah I think. Someone probably knows all the screen name.

Closest thing I consider myself an expert in is hockey and I'm sure I'm not an expert, but compared to some people on here I think I'd qualify. So relatively speaking I'm fine calling myself an expert.

Like B in Alb is an expert in football X's and O's, especially OL play. Loved reading his thoughts (or in many cases criticisms of other poster's thoughts).

I've seen posters give some great insight/advice as to handling personal & professional dilemmas. Obviously you'll get some LOL/WTF? comments, but those don't outweigh some serious posts.

regarding travel. Whether it's folks asking for restaurant recommendations while on business/vaca, or asking for input on cruises, tours, hotels/resorts and the like.

Just post your question or describe your issue and somebody with experience will offer his/her opinion.

If someone posts questionable advice other posters will correct it and there will be a general consensus on the thread.

I've gotten some computer help a couple of times (I think from Jim in Fairfax) and I've found that there's almost always someone that will take the time to assist you.

I didn't see him mentioned - anything related to air travel. If I remember right he's a pilot, and has contributed great posts anytime the subject has come up. Good poster.
