I know it's meaningless and the starters will barely play or not at all (OBJ), but I'm looking forward to this preseason game more than I looked forward to the last 10 or so reg season games last year.
Like everyone else, I'll be concentrating on the O-Line, and especially Erik Flowers. I hope he stays in the game not just with the 1s, but also with the 2s so we can get a longer look at him.
Otherwise, of course I'm anxious to see Barkley and get a quick look at Manning, assuming he plays.
On Defense, I want to see if Eli Apple is really back, and am excited to get a look at our new LB Corps.
How long do you think Webb gets with the starting offensive line. Also how well does he need to do to still be considered a viable replacement for eli in the next 2-3 years.
For the record I am not a huge fan of webb I've seen nothing from him that suggests he'll be anything more than a jag at this level. But I am wrong all the time so take that as you will.
Also I am literally twitching to see Barkley, even though he will probable do nothing of note it will just be cool to see him out there.
Lastly really looking forward to seeing the new look defense. I think more than anything else that is the aspect of the team that is most likely to produce worth while observations of what to expect in the regular season.
...in 3-point stances and the defense unable to tell whether the Giants are going to pass or run!
And here's a novel idea: Eli turns to hand the ball off, pulls it back and throws a play action pass. Haven't seen one of those in quite a while.
Oh... and one last wish. How about third or fourth down and one at the goal line and the Giants actually keep a back in there to force the LBs to consider that we may just try to punch it in.

I am assuming the first string OL will play a decent amount. I would guess that Solder is probably the first one replaced with possibly Omameh at the same time. I would guess Hernandez, Halapio, and Flowers get plenty of work. Plus, we really aren't three lines deep on the OL. I also would believe that he'd like to see Webb with the first OL before just replacing the starters.
I just want to see pass protection and holes to run throw Â

Me too. Not crazy at all.
+2. My concern is Mayfield. Regardless of the regime, we've usually had difficulty against mobile quarterbacks.

He may be somewhat mobile. But he's not a crazy threat with his feet like some guys are.
Seeing Webb in a #5 jersey is giving me Kerry Collins flashbacks Â
2007 Championship Game on MSG Network to get hyped. What a freaking team that was. Eli was on fire and was throwing the ball like a champ. He looked like he was playing toss in the back yard with Burress and Toomer, in sub-zero weather no less. Just a fantastic game by Eli. I hope he can rekindle that type of game?!

I'm thinking yes. Maybe a series or two more IMO.

Barkley is as advertised!
And yes, no injuries.
Yes unless you're in the NY market. Then it's NBC.
