Obviously we've got some Giants football on the tube at the same time, so most of us will be flipping back and forth (or going somewhere with more than one TV)
Boone seems to treat the cleanup spot as a revolving door... now Aaron Hicks is there. As the lineup turns....
Let's just keep on winning.
It was reported a few days ago that his leg was sore so, I’m sure he’s fine with it.

They might as well play him but I can't help but wonder how Stanton feels about not playing RF.

I was going on the assumption he's healthy but yeah, I heard that too. If that's the reason then you're probably right, I'd imagine he'd be ok with just DHing until it's healed.
Ha-ha, I turned the Giants off once the 2nd team went in. Looked like the same old crap.

for football. Mistake by me.

I was texting with my buddy from Michigan who loves football. Lions fan but that's ok. He was giving it to me saying Giants look in true form. Preseason football has always been hard to watch.
Looks like good baseball now, doesn't it.....

Early games are annoying. Not one pass to Barkley. 1 touch per series. Eli throwing the usual 3 yard pass on 3rd and 7. First game is for 2nd, 3rd and 4th team players. Sucks.
This is such a weird season. Despite the crazy high expectations I actually think the team is overachieving. So many cold bats, lots of nagging injuries, our best player out for a month, Sevy shaky for a 5 start stretch...I’m amazed we are still on pace for 100ish wins give or take.
One more batter, then pull him. Just to save the arm. He might have something wrong. Velocity is down 3 to 4 mph.
5 homers. good to be home.
Looked like most of Chappy's FB's were around 96 - obviously we all know he can pump it 100+ - so it was a little concerning to see him struggle to find the zone and make things a bit interesting. Hopefully he's fine. End of the day, we took care of biz and didn't need to get Britton in there.
Need to see a vintage Chappy outing soon to alleviate the concern - I'm still a little worried about him. He's definitely sore.
A lot of good things though.
1. I have a massive man-crush on Aaron Hicks.
2. Giancarlo has been a fucking beast since May.
3. Happ did what he needed to do - I think Cash did the right thing at the deadline by getting a couple of starters who can keep us in games and adding an elite reliever (when he's on) - we didn't have to part with anyone like Frazier, Sheffield, or Florial. Didn't even have to move Adams.
4. Miggy is the fucking man
5. I wanted Neil Walker DFA'd a few weeks ago - I feel stupid now. He's been excellent now that he's getting regular PT.
We're gonna be fine. Sevy seemingly getting right last night was huge. Masa tends to be better 2nd half and has been very good since the hammy strains. Lynn had an outstanding first start. Happ has been getting it done so far. I always trust CC, and the outing Gray had out of the pen yesterday was big for him.
We need 99 back in the lineup - El Gary, too. It sucks Boston is having the season they are - but I really think we can beat them in a DS if we can get out of the play-in.
Just keep winning games.
He just needs work to stay sharp but a fine line between working him enough and being cautious about the knee or even overworking him.
Betances is a monster right now.
Since July 1st, Dellin has a 0.75 ERA and has allowed just 1 run in 12 IP. 22 K's, 3 walks. Absolute beast.
Best part about this bullpen is that there's so much firepower. Even if Chap is hurting or not 100%, we have a billion options. But we do need to make sure he's right.
Bottom line.... 4 in a row. Let's keep it going.
He's good with knowledge of the game, but I am not easily swayed.
There are no laws against doing what you did but it feels like there should be. No offense.
