Cam isn't a bad dude. He's pretty involved in the community. He swung by daughter's preschool a couple of months ago & was very attentive and kind to all the kids.

he isn't a bad guy. He just opens his mouth and it gets him in trouble. The guy is not getting busted for drugs or getting into other kinds of trouble. So, from that perspective I suppose it is a good thing.

He can be involved in the community and still be an asshole to reporters/immature; the two aren't mutually exclusive.

By all accounts he is a decent human. He does not display leadership qualities on the field however. At this point in his career, he has to be able to ignore this kind of background noise. Let it go. Unfortunately, its looks like he's the kind of guy that can't do it.
KB called him out, unwarranted in an interview. Cam ignores the media and decides he's gonna approach KB in person and handle it. He approaches him with a handshake. KB ignores it.
If anything, I respect Cam a little more after this.
A first round bust WR who is blaming a relatively successful franchise QB for being a bust
Is Kelvin Benjamin really a bust? He had two seasons of around 1000 yards receiving and last year totaled 700 yards over 14 games. We also have to take into account that he missed a year due to injury.
He wont have quality quarterbacking this season either, but by most accounts he's impressed folks in Buffalo through preseason.
Cam continuing to do things no other QB has
he could relate to them on an emotional level.
As much shit as I give Cam for his on the field crap, he's very involved in the community.
Lol.

How anyone would use this as a knock on Cam is baffling.

Agreed. I'm no Cam Newton fan but KB looks like the scumbag here IMHO. Cam approached him and looked to extend a handshake.

Dude downplays it in the media, and tries to handle it in person. Benji won't shake his hand or even look him in the eye, really.

This is the correct take. Anything else is just Cam hate.
