Some of us are just having fun with it, but it's clear he hasn't actually developed. So he's kind of still that college QB. It's especially jarring when Mayfield is on the other sideline and looks incredibly poised and capable without a full season on the bench.
Between Mayfield and Webb. This is Mayfield's FIRST NFL action, and while Webb hasn't had much, but he's been in the league long enough he should be ahead. He's not.

Mayfield was the first overall pick for a reason. It's not really fair to compare the two.
Well, 1st overall pick compared to 3rd round pick.
We've seen 1st round picks bust and this 3rd round pick has a year on Mayfield in the NFL. I know he was a backup, but still, he also gets to learn from one of the best on a daily basis.

I get that, but Webb has over a YEAR in the league of learning at Eli's side, watching film, etc.. He shouldn't be MORE jittery and nervous than a rookie QB -- even the first pick.

First down, Mayfield.
Two things going against Webb: 3rd round AND spread offense. A lot of the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th round guys that had success (Garapolo, Wilson, and Cousins) were pro-style QB's in college.

He didn't play, he shadowed. He also had a different skillset with a different set of challenges, they're not really comparable.
He simply might not be good at football.

In case anyone cared.
Agreed.
He breaks the pocket, but he makes good decisions and isn't wasting a lot of time with his feet.
yes was dying, i think it was rob thomas

A QB we can agree on!
;>)

Guice has a knee injury.
But Webb started over him in a bowl game....after Mayfield transferred!
I am not a huge Mayfield fan, however he is doing good things tonight but he has to stay in the pocket. He is gonna get hit.... a lot!

Dude is on another level from Webb.

Hehe. And he's too short, or something.

That to me looks like the biggest issue - he looks smaller than I thought and breaking the pocket constantly could take its toll
I like how he threw him down like a rag doll
