Sure, the game overall was marked by how bad Webb was, but a few good things to build on:
- Saquon
- 1st team and backup DL
- 1st team OL = OK, backup OL - pretty good against Browns backups
- Run D overall
- Gallman and Simmons
- Rosas looked smooth in his brief chances
- no major mistakes (turnovers, penalties, dumb/undisciplined plays)
I found Bettcher’s scheme interesting - mostly vanilla, but looked like he was switching from 3-4 to 4-3 every other series. He does seem committed to being “multiple”, as the coaches keep saying
What else you got?
Yup - really every RB not named Stewart looked good
Yup good one, in brief action he was in top form
Based on 1 run? No in depth feedback on the other 4 carries?
Oh my God, a running back had 4 yards on 4 carries. He must suck.

Looks like the real deal. He has a gear that not many players have, much like Beckham at the WR position. Let’s hope we see more runs like that first one this year.

Dude you're seriously unbearable. The kid looks to be the real deal. Fucking 8 man box and he broke it off for 39. Take credit away IDC but when's the last time you saw a Giants back look that explosive?

Is it just me or does he have an agenda? I understand saying 1 carry is not enough but getting on him for not being successful in the other 4 runs like you can't take a 4 stretch run from any RB in NFL history and see them not be successful. The guy is a running back.

well the guy has been pretty rock solid about whining about the pick since draft day.
But a small minority of fans are actually rooting for him to fail so they can say I told you so - no point debating it too much

Honestly, some people aren't Giants fans but fans of being right. I don't think there's ever been a Giants or Rangers player that we acquired that I didn't like that ended up doing well that I would wish would fail to be proven right. Absolutely pathetic. The fewer "fans" like that the better.

One of Barkley's little gains was a run to the sideline, right side. When was the last time the Giants had a back that could actually get that far outside on a run? Not even Tiki had the speed to do that.
It's rare today to see a RB be able to go sideline to sideline. The Browns were smart to make sure they had a safety covering the sidelines.
Good points. I thought Herzlich looked good at ILB, as did Ray-Ray Armstrong.
Josh Mauro made a couple of nice places as well.
It looks like Sharp, Raymond, and Lewis are fighting it out for the 5th and 6th WR spots.
Ditto. Noticed the same.
...in quite awhile!
130+ yards on 23 carries, 5.8 YPC ain't too shabby.
Equally, our run defense looked very strong as well with several tackles behind the LOS.
Browns had 50 yards on 33 carries.

upgrade over Wing.

Did he punt well? I thought a few were, well, similar to Wing last year LOL.
What was his final average last night?

after that he ran 4 times for an amazing hand of god 4 yards....Let's relax
That "one nice run" came on the opening play where everyone knew he was getting the ball. He made not one, but two jump cuts and gained 40 yards.
Instead of coming away impressed, you worked in a line about the hand of God and called it "nice".
Are you really going to be looking to diminish everything about him this year? I know you are a one topic troll, but still. Fucking ponderous.

He has a point, I mean, Bakley was only getting 3 yards on his shitty runs...

It will be interesting to see how involved he will be in the practices with the Lions.
And, will he play next Friday with no contract extension? I wouldn't if I were him

I'll give Stewart this - on his one chance to convert a second and short, he got the job done. Don't expect Shurmer and company to ask much more of him once the real football starts

Like that bum Barry Sanders!
A pathetic 8.1 YPC!

Looking at the replay it was an extremely beautiful run, very patient and two stop on a dime cutbacks in the hole.
It was like a Tiki run, but 230 lbs and 4.4 speed.
need to see more inside tackle running cant break everything outside like Barry Sanders
