Jerell Adams

So, what exactly does this guy do? Why is he on this team? The questions that get asked. I feel like he has been here and hasn't done yet a thing. Why not? Is his role on the team just to take up a roster space? Go into his third year and be unproductive? I mean I even heard the name Kerry Wynn as well. Why?

I'm not understanding something here.
Rosters are at 90

So do you think he was misused under McAdoo? I just like to ask questions, I know I am a stupid personage when it comes to knowing sports. 3 TEs, right? Blocking?
Like any back up,

He is here in case someone gets hurt.
Another one of Reeses pet projects.
Brown Recluse : 8/10/2018 6:34 am : link
Highly doubt he will fare any better than the others.
I thoutht that his blocking was pretty good last night.

thank you
He is a player with a roll
Dankbeerman : 8/10/2018 8:05 am : link
Getting reps designed for guys above him on the depth chart. He shouldnt be getting TE screens and he probably wont get the play called when he is in as our blocking TE in jumbo sets. he is a 5 yard crossing pattern guy on heavynplay action on 3rd and short or goaline situations.

I liked it..

better when the Simo dupe handles were talking about fake family scenarios.

Adams actually had a very good game blocking. I guarantee the coaches took more away from that than anything else.

He blew up his man on the TD and had several other good blocks while he was in there.

If he's got to the point to being a + blocker, he'll make the team.
Adams...

is Larry Donnell minus the air time.
What's the point of this thread?
Anakim : 8/10/2018 9:04 am : link
Adams basically played the whole game. He's a very good blocker, he has great size and speed, and he's a work-in-progress in the receiving game. He's the least of our problems.
Good blocking TE, however he's shown to have suspect hands..
Simms11 : 8/10/2018 9:12 am : link
He's currently the only bonafide depth we have behind Ellison and Engram and that's why he's here.
If every Giants pre-season game thread discussion needed a point...
BamaBlue : 8/10/2018 9:13 am : link
there would be precious little to talk about.
He

looks like a more than competent third TE. His blocking last night was very good. I'm not sure what people expect.
Cut him

In college, Adams' strength was blocking, not receiving
GeofromNJ : 8/10/2018 12:25 pm : link
His routes were not precise and his breaks were not sharp. In terms of receiving, his hands are acceptable, but he's basically a blocking tight end.
He is gifted physically
Jim in Forest Hills : 8/10/2018 12:37 pm : link
He is big strong and can run fast. Shurmur was not only the OC at Minny but also the TE coach. Let's see what he can do with him.
What does he do?

Give you something to troll about.
What's the question about Kerry Wynn?
pjcas18 : 8/10/2018 12:58 pm : link
like Carl Banks said last night, he makes it really hard to cut him, because he can do a lot of things at an at least passable level.

He forced the fumble on the KO, and he can rush the passer in a pinch. he's depth, so if he's playing significant snaps it means there were injuries.
Fairly clear that you are

Am I missing something here?
Giants_West : 8/10/2018 2:43 pm : link
He's big, he's a good blocker, he seems to consistently run good routes and catch the balls that come his way? What the fuck are you looking for from a number three TE? An All Pro?

I don't get this site sometimes...
Jeez calm down people I just asked a question lol
Aqua Giants : 8/10/2018 2:53 pm : link
Getting all offended by asking about a 3rd third tight end who eats up a spot to "block"...is that why our running game has been so air tight over the years? 26th and 29th over the two years he was hear. Yeah, great contribution.

No one answered my question if they thought he was misused by McAdoo or not.

OK he makes a play in preseason, he's been here for 5 years and I bet you can't think of one play of his that was worthy of remembering.

The sideburns..
