It was real nice of the nfl to give the giants 2 Thursday night games in the preseason. Not many people want to go to a preseason game already never mind on a work night
He has shown poise, patience, and has been going through his progressions and finding the right guy and delivering the ball accurately...
That said, I'm not sure if it's the Jets offense or Atlanta's defense, but the guys he's finding are wide open and just running constant crossing routes. They are dinking and dunking Atlanta to death. Bridgewater did it too.
Again, taking nothing away from Darnold, he's taken exactly what he's been given and done it efficiently, but Atlanta looks like shit.
He has eerie similarities in many ways, especially demeanor, to Eli.
I bet this kid is going to be special, which would prob make some of us sick.
Barkley looks like he's going to be special, too. It's possible that both franchises got a special player.
Absolutely. Unless, we're searching for a QB when Eli retires for the next decade. That's why I'm hoping either Webb or Lauletta are the guy.
Eli's successor might not be on the roster yet. And that might be ok. It could be a stud rookie in two years. It could be a free agent. It could be a trade.
We don't know yet. But I don't think there's as much risk passing on Darnold and Rosen as some other think. And whoever Eli's successor ends up being, his life will be a bit easier having studs like Beckham and (hopefully) Barkely in his huddle.

Rather have the special QB over the special RB 100 times out of 100.
So would every single person in the world. I'm not convinced Darnold or any of the QBs will pan out. I had Baker Mayfield as my #1 QB and I still would've taken Saquon over him.

Sure. I just hope we're not searching for a decade or so for that guy ala the 1990's.
The next franchise QB will be Trevor Lawrence of Clemson Â
Brown, Maddox, Graham, Kanell shit again. That's for sure. Hard to believe it was only five years. Felt like 15.
Those were my adolescent/early teen years. So many of my geek friends switched teams. I was one of the few who stayed a Giants fan. But yeah, let's hope we don't have to go through anything like that again, especially with a elite weapons on this team Beckham, Engram, Shepard, and Barkley. Would be a shame to have all that talent wasted because we can't find a good QB.
RE: The next franchise QB will be Trevor Lawrence of Clemson Â
You are missing the big picture here, as are those people who have similar thoughts about Baker Mayfield's performance. Arnold and Mayfield were under little, if any, pressure to perform well as they play for shit teams. The Jets and Brown's suck, always have, always will. Webb, on the other hand, plays for one of the greatest franchises in NFL history. The pressure to perform is infinitely greater when one steps on the field for the New York Giants.

I d never question Giants fans loyalty
Just noticed it was a nice turn out, prob the anticipation of seeing Darnold.
Britt is being tongue in cheek since another poster said that about Darnold.
Looks a tad bit better than Webb.

Really? Isn't he a teenager? Aren't you an adult?

Correct. I just thought it was funny. I don't even know what it means.
Agreed. Hell, I predicted that at the coin toss. It's extremely obvious.

Except he was the third QB in a preseason game.
Relax, people.

Yes. Well, at least the Jets do.

Field will look good on the bench the next two years.

Or Justin Fields of Georgia.

Bet you supplants Fromm this season
Let's relax.
Leinarts first preseason game was vs New England
He was 4 for 11 for 45 yds and fumbled in a 30-3 loss
I think Fields and Lawrence are the two next big things at QB. Like Andrew Luck-caliber prospects.
And I think you're going to hear a ton of love for Tyree Jackson over the next couple of years. There are gonna be a ton of comparisons to Josh Allen.
Who can break tendencies?
Who can strengthen their weaknesses?
