NFT: FF 8/11 6th pick question

gmangill : 8/11/2018 8:54 am
10 team long time league... Decent money, 1st place around $1800 second $1200 third $300 (depending on waiver moves each move cost 2 bucks to the pot)

non-ppr, 1qb, 2wr, 2rb, 1te, 1 def, 1flex wr,rb,te 6pt per touchdown

I have the 6th pick... I am 99% sure the first five are going like this but not necessarily in this order

Gurley
Bell
AB
DJ
Zeke

which leaves me Kamara ; Fournette ; Gordon : and of course our very own Saquon

Very competitive league with tons of trash talking... of course Saquon is in my head but I don't want to take a risk because I want the Giants to do well.. Leaning Fournette or Kamara (more towards Fournette because I know he is the guy and going to get 90% of the workload there... they also have a very good OL)

Also, thought about OBJ there but I think its a few picks early... Would also leave me out of the running for a top tier back..

what say you BBI??
if it’s a ppr

Kamara and don’t look back. N not then either Kamara or Barkley. I’d still lean Kamara.
No PPR ?

Gordon or Fournette
..

NON-PPR
My 2 cents

My concern about Fournette being your 1 RB is that he's had foot problems the last 2 years. He battled through it last year but missed a few games.

Kamera will probably start out strong w Ingram suspended, but dont expect him to repeat last year when Ingram returns.

I think i would roll the dice w Barkley.

Gordon would be my 2nd choice.
Go with Barkley

Then you get to enjoy it too.

My philosophy in fantasy has always been to take a Giants player in the first round if there is one worthy of it. Fantasy is not won in the first round anyway (I play in an ultra competitive money league as well and won 3 years in a row prior to last season).

Barkley is in the second tier of rbs (Gurley, Bell, DJ and Zeke being 1) and you can't go wrong with either imo.

I am not certain that I would leave out a WR with pick 6 though (I have the 7th).
There are many teams that have uncertain rb situations and if you hit on a few like Cook in the 2nd. Mixon in the 3rd or Collins, Drake or Mack later on coupled with Ingram for example. Then taking the best or second best wr is not that bad imo.
Im in an auction draft

And I'm definitely targeting Barkley. I just hope he doesn't have too great of a preseason and drive up his cost.
Non PPR put these Rb in order to be #1 Rb

It’s kind of a gross spot and I agree w this.
Im not as high on Kamara as others

He had an unreal efficiency last year that will be hard to maintain unless his workload increases. Sean Payton has already said several times that they will not increase his workload. Unless you think he can keep scoring at the same rate, expect his crazy production to drop off a bit.
