to see her live. For the last twenty or so years, her health has not been great and she has been out on tour very few times. Always wanted to see Marvin Gaye as well as Beggin Barry White and his Love Unlimited Orchestra. Wishing the Queen of Soul all the best.

I remember a time when great talented pop singers actually sounded better live, more raw and emotional.

1995, TJ Martell Foundation dinner at the Hilton Ballroom. Aretha got onstage and did a small set....including Long and Winding Road. Holy crap.

She is special

Gwenn Eifel did a stupendous interview with her on PBS and shortly after Eifel passed way to young.

Her not-so-in-the-past performance at the Carole King Kennedy Center tribute is worth watching.
