Fake FG TD pass to Harry Carson in 35-3 victory vs. the Eagles.

Loved seeing it happen for someone who had been on some really, really bad teams.

... can't believe no one referenced my favorite play. Easy one. Giants down in the 1990 NFC Championship. Last couple of minutes of game and Erik Howard hits Roger Craig in the backfield and LT grabs the fumble before it hits the ground. Hostetler takes us down the field and Bahr makes the kick. Giants win 5-13 and go on to win Super Bowl.

Giants beat longtime rival in Candlestick who going for three-peat. Montana, Rice, Lott, Craig, Bill Walsh that was a great 49er team.

Erik Howard causes the fumble and LT recovers. My favorite Giants play of all time
Mark Ingram insane Super Bowl first down...

Also - remember that Tiki run against Kansas City where he made 7 or 8 tacklers miss?

That's a great memory - however Seifert was the 9er coach then. That game produced so many great memories. Marshall's hit, Reason's fake punt, Hostetler coming back after having his leg nearly amputated by Burt, the fumble, the FG! There will be no 3 peat!!!

I believe the game you are referring to was against the Steelers. Tark handed off to the running back (Frederickson maybe?} who handed to Homer Jones coming on a end around who flipped it back to Tarkenton for the pass to Morrison and the TD.

My favorite too. Rare that you can pinpoint a moment when a season completely turned.

Lots of good answers on this thread, but a singular play that stands out to me was game the of the 2007 season. Iirc the first two games were blowout losses where the defense didn't look good. We were playing Washington and the defense was folding again. The skins were on the goal line, went for it on fourth down. A big stop happened and it seemed the defense changed, took on a new attitude and went on toward history
Obvious ones have been mentioned. A few more I love:
tikimvp : 8/13/2018 3:45 pm : link

- Nicks long TD (w/ dirty bird celebration) vs Atl in '11 wild card game. We were outplayed in 1st quarter of this game, tide turned in 2nd and than this really put it away, if I recall.

- Bradshaw running the giants to '07 playoffs in the snow in Buffalo

- RW McQuarters INT in the end zone in Dallas

bceagle05 : 8/13/2018 3:50 pm : link
I'd have to say the game-winner to Plax in Super Bowl 42. Seeing him come into view wide open in the end zone as Joe Buck nailed the call - it was just a perfect moment of pure bliss. I remember the Bahr game-winner in SF and the Norwood miss, but I was a little too young to truly appreciate those moments. The Plax TD - after holding my breath for what seemed like three hours - was unlike anything I've experienced as a sports fan.

BrettNYG10 : 8/13/2018 3:52 pm : link
With hindsight, Plax's game winner in XLII. Real-time, I thought we left too much time on the clock.

Real-time, Eli's kneel. I was not confident until the turnover on downs. I was pessimistic.

Victor Cruz 99 yards vs the Jets
arniefez : 8/13/2018 4:02 pm : link
But there are 10 others that would be #1 depending on which one I watched last. LT 97 yards is another. LT beating Joe Jacoby game 2 1986 in Washington is another. Simms to Bavaro 1985 SF playoff game. Plus all the obvious ones that have been mentioned.

George Martin's sack/safety in Super Bowl XXI. Such a huge play and momentum turner. It was all down hill after that for Denver. He always had a knack for scoring points for the Gmen.
The Mark Ingram SB catch and run.

The Tyree catch was mind-blowing. But watching the Giants take the lead with less than a minute on the clock against the 18-0 Patriots made the dream a reality.

Regular season. One play I am fond of is Jacobs trucking Laron Landry of the Skins.

Going back further, LT's TD vs. the Lions on Thanksgiving in 1982. Wow.

On Defense - In the 1980's they used to send the weakside LB on a seemingly direct and unimpeded path to the QB. Not sure why they moved away from it. It was very successful back then.

Until that Green Bay game was over I had huge doubts they would be able to close it out. After a relatively stress free Tampa opening round game, Dallas and GB back to back was exhausting. Good thing we had time to rest up for what would become David vs Goliath

Has probably been posted already but I thought of some more worth honorable mention:

Tiki with the game-winning TD vs. Dallas in the last game of Eli's rookie year. Made you feel like we had a young smart QB and a good future going into next season.

Jacquain Williams FF of Kyle Williams in the 2007 NFC Championship. Seen more as a 49ers mistake but it was a huge turnover for us in a Super Bowl run.

Nicks Hail Mary TD before halftime vs. GB.
The best

moments from the two recent super runs, but a random play I really liked was the "Fassel flea-flicker" to Toomer in a huge game @Indy in 2002. I remember that 2002 team really caught fire at the end of the year and went in to Indy and trashed the Colts and that flea flicker play was awesome.

It made the collapse in the playoffs to the Niners even worse because I thought that team had caught fire and was going on a bigtime run.

George Martin, 78-yard pick-6 against John Elway. He was 34 and the older player on the team.

Not an important game? Nope. Every game in that season was important. Regardless, as a kid, I never heard so much screaming and cheering during that play, and prob never will again.
