Mets claimed him off waivers... because he's on the 40 man he was called up for IF depth.
careful lol
That’s cause Rosario and McNeil are getting on base
He has struggled but relievers can be volatile he could bounce back next season for all we know. He would have been a better choice than Swarzak though.

In a sea of not much going right this year, at least we didn't sign Reed. And a two year deal? Yikes.

Reed is cooked. Collins abused him. Swarzak has been pitching very well lately and hasn't pitched half as many innings as Reed this year. Disagree.
Vargas looked serviceable, pitched fine for 6 innings, just doesn't miss many bats. Defense is scary for a guy that has to pitch to contact. Wahl and Sewald did not look good. 0-3 against the worst team in baseball. The Mets made Cashner looked like a better pitcher than he really is. go get 'em tomorrow, I guess.
Wheeler has been throwing great lately. Tickets are probably cheap. You don't have to stay for the entire game. Might as well see him throw gas for a few hours and see if Conforto, Nimmo, McNiel or Rosario can do anything to give some optimism for next year.
I still have a Wieters t-shirt from 2011 when I went to a work event at Camden for a Red Sox Orioles game and it was Wieters t-shirt night and I use it for mowing the lawn. 7 years that shirt has lasted.

Swarzak is on the DL with a bum shoulder and had a 9.00 era over his last 9 appearances... am I missing something?
+1

trying to decide whether to go tonight or not. Camden Yards is just a short Uber ride from my house but I'm not exactly enthused about the Mets recently. It's free t-shirt night which is a plus! I nice bright orange oversized Orioles shirt to wear on laundry day!

You convinced me. Well, you and the free t-shirt.

If you were watching the games he had a nice stretch before getting bombed in a game which blew up his numbers again. It was literally all they talked about. Overall, of course he’s been bad but he hasn’t had the largest of samples either. Seemed like he was pitching better before that appearance.
