We all got hits and misses. I was 100% convinced that Matt Ryan was going to suck. I was also 100% positive that Johnny Football was going to be a star.

If that is true, you are a really bad QB evaluator. I doubt Sy'56 asks you to help.

Johnny Football....geez
LOL. I was really off about Johnny Football. No excuses there.
But, and I've said this before, I remember watching the 2000 Orange Bowl between Alabama & Michigan & saying to a buddy, 'This Tom Brady guy is good.' Now, did I think he would probably become the GOAT in terms of QB? Hell no. But I would have predicted he would be a good NFL QB.
Yeah, but you still have to take him over the best player in the draft Â
I’ve done pretty well on my personal player Evals. The feather in my cap last year being Kareem Hunt. I also nailed Rob Havenstein (Rams RT)a couple drafts back.
As far as my blown predictions. I though Jameis Winston would be an MVP caliber QB by now. I really liked his game coming out of FSU. Thought Damontre Moore could be a very good player for us. The old Sean Weatherspoon vs Rolando McClain debate I was on team Weatherspoon.
RE: RE: But you always draft a good QB available in the first round! Â

SPOOOOOOOOOON!
lol, nobody won Rolando McClain vs. Sean Weatherspoon. Â
Manziel vs Evans debate. It was pretty clear who had future star potential and who was benefiting most from the other.
That was a true test of who actually watched Johnny Manziel and who scouted him through ESPN highlights. That was a clear case of a QB getting bailed out by a 6'5 freak on mad scrambles and jump balls.
Manziel did a fantastic job keeping plays alive in college. Was also able to throw on the run in college. But I lost count with how many times Evans bailed him out.
But for me the one that stands out is Matt Stafford. I realize he was obviously a top pick by the time he entered the draft, but the first time I seen him play early in his career, I couldn’t believe how effortlessly he threw the ball. At the time, I’d never heard of him but after that game I followed him closely to see how he developed. Turned out pretty good!
My biggest miss was probably RG3. I thought we’d be screwed for a decade going against him

I think if he had stayed healthy, he might have made good on that.
I thought Laquon Treadwell was going to be the next Alshon Jeffery... what can you do.
Maybe he'll turn it around in the magical year 3. :)
I'm still waiting for KWALL to show me that I did, since he tried to call me out for it. In a shocking turn of events, he refused to admit that he was wrong.

but he hasn't been done any favors by Denver. If you're going to trade up to draft a spread QB, at the very least, try and put him in a position to succeed. Incorporate some spread concepts to get him comfortable and then introduce more complex concepts.
This isn't true: "refused to admit that he was wrong."
On my Coleman callout thread, the I recognized the list of posters as Treadwell guys. I thought you were one. While searching for it I found the gem by Arc that not only did he love Treadwell but he also loved Coleman.
That ended my search so I could run back to mock Arc.
Would you like an apology for lumping you in with the others? Did that hurt your feelings?
OK. I was wrong for implying you liked Treadwell. Is that the admission you were looking for?
I didn't refuse to admit I was wrong about you. I just ignored you as I was having more fun getting abuse from FMIC.
LOL

"draft a good QB available in the first round"
"so what they did was right."
How does paxton lynch make these sentences work?

After the fact, sure. But leading up to the draft there were supposedly many teams that liked him. He was very hyped up at the time

So the Giants should’ve drafted Josh Allen? Fuck. Well, this season is a bust.
Thanks Gettleman.

Like they say, sometimes the best deals are the ones you don't make.
P.S. Jaylon Smith is going to be a star this year.
John Elway did not draft Tim Tebow
It’s basically across the board in the NFL. Tons of misses for most franchises, even the Pats.

drafted Lynch and Tebow.

You're right.
Ha Ha, McClain was one guy I absolutely hated coming out of the draft. One of the MOST overrated players coming out in years.

Our friend can be a bit stubborn at times.

I want you to just stick to solid football posts instead of going down rabbit holes and hyping up guys.
But maybe I will pull back on the hyperbole. Should I delete my "Albert Wilson is going to the probowl" post? Its a beauty.
