Donte Deayon is another one of those guys you simply can't count on... he's ALWAYS hurt.
CB is yet another position where we have no depth after Jenkins and Apple. Apple of course also had a disastrous year last season. That's why the Beal injury is so significant. Webb, Johnson, and Haley are journeyman and a UDFA rookie. I'd be surprised if we didn't use our #2 waiver wire claim to add at least one CB.

We had a depth problem there even with Beal. No doubt we'll use our favorable waiver wire position to pick up any intriguing prospect who shakes loose in the upcoming cutdowns.

Curtis Riley the first-team FS again. Big opportunity to claim the starting job with Darian Thompson sidelined with a hamstring injury. William Gay the #2 FS.
with Thompson at this point. He hasn't done much and he seems to always have soft tissue injuries. What exactly has he proven so far after being a 3rd round pick?
I thought Ross Cockrell was a guy who did ok last season (especially for a guy who would've been a 3rd corner) and would've been a nice player to keep around. I guess he fractured his leg in Carolina.
NYG most likely has to find another corner from somewhere.

Not a great throw by Eli Manning, low and behind Evan Engram, who picked the ball about an inch off the turf for a really nice catch between defenders in 7-on-7. #Giants #Lions
Giants notes so far from here in Allen Park, Mich.: Davis Webb having a really good practice, throwing confidently, lots of TDs in 7-on-7 red zone; Roger Lewis, Evan Engram, and Hunter Sharp having a strong day, too #Giants
Olivier Vernon just blew up a run play in red zone. Wouldve been 7-yard loss with stop of Ameer Abdullah.
B.J. Hill followed with what wouldve been a sack. Has been Lions day vs Giants first team defense until then
Some shaky plays from Ereck Flowers on most recent team series, including a sack by Devon Kennard, but Giants responded. Sterling Shepard with great route drew PI, then Eli to Evan Engram for TD on Glover Quin, who picked Manning yesterday.
Fade to Engram for conversion INC.
And Carter answers with good pressure on consecutive plays in red zone, and both rushes likely would have resulted in sacks during reserve team drills. Hes having a good practice for #NYGiants

Eli didn't even throw an interception today. So I find it odd you are even bringing it up.
If our guys are not picking off passes, you'd be asking if any of our guys ever intercept passes.
I've been going to camps for three decades, QBs throw interceptions.
QBs should be using practice to try making different throws to see what they can and can't do, or how they might have completed a throw by putting more/less air on it, etc.

Exactly right. Also, you don't get better playing conservatively in practice. If a QB never threw any INTs in practice, I'd be concerned if he's even doing the things he needs to to get better. Nobody wants Charlie Check-down running their offense.

Suck too, since there were legit safeties in that spot of the draft. Could have landed Justin Simmons who was seen as the better centerfielder (and complement to Collins) too... Not that Thompson wasn't considered a good prospect, but as far as fit goes...
Thompson sucks and should be cut but Im very curious
To see how Curtis Riley does at FS. Adams seems like a quality reserve to me and Thomas is a lock due to his special teams prowess.
For corner I have Gay starting in the nickle/slot with Webb as the 4th CB. Theres about 5 guys competing for the 5th spot along with waiver wire candidates but it honestly doesnt look as dire as some are making it out to be.
Once again, Im far more worried about many of our starters than I am with depth concerns (Latimer, Apple, Riley, Ogletree, Martin, Vernon, Hill, the entire starting Oline)
Curtis Riley has been getting first teams reps at FS for some time now. Thompson only started last week because Riley was hurt himself. Some in the media are acting like Rileys getting a chance because Thompson is now is out but it was really the other way around.
DThompson at SS? If some think he's injury prone, and I do, that's been at FS. He'd be chopped liver at SS, and more than soft tissue injuries. Further agree--he's poor tackler.
At Boise St., the reasoning behind Reese/Ross' pick was that he was a good ball hawk. He flashed that a little bit in his first camp and not so much since, aside from spending most of his seasons on the bike. Takes bad routes, bad angles. There's really not very much there to like.

I'm asking if the amount that they throw appear to be more than average. For example....Derek Carr threw his 1st INT of camp last week.
