It's hard to believe it'll be 10 years this November when he shot himself. Time flies. I remember first hearing about it here & thinking it was a cruel joke. I still think we get to the Super Bowl in '08 if that never happens, but it's a classic 'what if?' That was a freaking loaded team, but the lack of a deep threat/DL wearing down hurt us late in the season & vs. the freaking Eagles in the divisional round.

with the Giants fading late in '08 than losing Burress. The rotation they'd had in '07 maintained the pass rush all the way through the post season, in '08 they had to move Kiwanuka to Osi's end spot and along with Strahan's retirement, the DL was running on fumes in December. In the playoff game, there was no was McNabb would've converted that 3rd and 19 if the DL had any legs underneath them.

Captured a lot of the feeling around NY metro during that time period. I still remember staring at my phone in disbelief when my friend texted that Plax had shot himself. Thought that team was going to roll to another Super Bowl. Oh well.
