Superintendent's don't get the summer off, at least where in PA where I live. Obviously not as much work to do, but they still work throughout the summer in PA at least.

it's unused vacation not unaccrued, so presumably he earned it over his career and they allow them to carry it over from year-to-year.
Point taken but in the private sector you don't get to keep unused vacation time over ones entire career. You have to use it the next year, usually the first quarter of the next year, or it expires. What a disgusting fucking scam.
