NFT: Anyone here ever driven for a food delivery service?

I drive PT for Uber. There isn't an Uber driver that I know that will accept an Ubereats ping. Let me explain how it really works. You get a ping for Ubereats and the restaurant (mostly it's a MC'D) is 15 minutes away. You drive the 15 minutes to the restaurant. Once you get there you have to wait for them to make the food. Once the food is made you take that stinking food into your car. It's a stench that you can't get rid of. You drive to the address. Park your car if you can find a spot. Walk up 10 flights of stairs and try and find the customer. Now remember this is Uber......No tip is necessary!

Your $10 per hour is very generous to Uber. The driver makes about $4 per delivery. Do you think you could do all that was stated above four times an hour? Remember the driver has to cover all the expenses.

If you want to deliver food find a good pizza place and deliver for them. You will make much more money.

Driver I see waiting at the Quick Stop down the street looks incredibly pissed off....all the time. Doesnt seem like a good gig.

Just 2 weeks ago, I had finally had enough. Not worth the time or trouble. Not even close.

should be boycotted the way they treat their drivers.

And adding in a 3rd party to deliver my food seems even worse.

Deliver for directly for a restaurant. You’ll get paid more, order sizes will be larger, and you’ll have less wasted time.
