Darnold looked pretty good IMO. The int. wasn’t a bad throw, it got tipped in the air and the defender made an excellent diving int. Witten may have been drooling all over him, but I don’t see any reason why anyone would question his judgement.

He hasn’t looked bad but we have seen enough. He s obviously making mostly checkndown throws with that yards per attempt stat. The interception was very much his fault the pass was never getting there. But that’s not my point. The point is we haven’t seen enough in the two preseason games to anoint (as much as the media is trying too) or bash the guy. Jury is still out and will be for years

I agree, we've seen a lot of short stuff, but the offense moved the ball well. Plus, who are his receivers and running backs? Seriously, is there one recognizable name on their roster?
People going out of their way to rationalize Darnold's lousy performance, but are way too quick to cut Webb after a lousy performance. Let the preseason play out.

he looked good last week, but he needs to get the ball down the field. short throws in a vanilla preseason isnt enough for me to crown him

I was thinking something similar. The Jets might just keep Darnold and McCown.
