I believe he has the speed and length...is there a reason why we wouldn't consider him to play next to LC? Or was he already picked up by another team?
People have to just accept that DRC isn't coming back here. It was pretty clearly an organizational decision that they did not want him to return and that they identified him as one of the problem players from last years dysfunctional disaster. Just have to let it go.

What you're saying is likely true, but remember before they cut him the Giants wanted to cut his pay. DRC said no and he was then released.

I have a sneaky suspicion that when DRC didn't accept the pay cut, the Giants soured given he was a "locker room cancer / rebel" last year.
I think DRC can play slot better than ANYONE we currently have but we lack funds for one & may not want cancer types on the team.

This + 1,000. Not sure why people don't get this and/or won't get over it. Same reason they never even thought about bringing Cruz back after they cut him: bad influence vis-a-vis boat incident.
They didn't bring back Cruz because he was shot. Â
just prior to being cut?? There was even a BBI frontpage story on it, I believe? That was a decision made by this new regime. So, yes, if he came back he would probably play safety. But he's probably not coming back.
By the way, I thought he did accept a pay-cut, but the Giants ended up cutting him anyway. Is that wrong?
I don't think I got all the details around the story so maybe all of this is wrong. If so, sorry, lol

I agree with this. As a team here we need to move forward from DRC. I'd rather let Adams, Thompson and the new guys battle it out to earn a spot.

Holy shit. Did we just become civil?!
Nothing but love man. Gmen are on life is good.
Yessir. Lets squash the bullshit and leave it behind. It’s pointless.

I wonder how much the Giants were willing to give him? The harsh reality for him is, he might not get signed somewhere until after the season starts, thus no guarantee money.....and to go from 7M to vet min, when he might have made much more if he accepted the Giant's cut offer, may play in his head....
No way he plays safety.....he would never last the season tackling, like he would have to.....
Playing corner/slot corner is different, as far as tackling goes....
AS for his speed, he is another year older....and if you can't be counted on to stay on the field, what good are you? Better to cut a guy a year sooner than a year later....
He probably will find a home somewhere, and will probably play well if used correctly, like only on third downs in passing situations.....but if forced to be a starter, he will not last long....
bring DRC back for this year, but I don't think that DG/PS want him back on the team. I haven't read anything were they have reached out to him or even discussed him as an option.
Thread over
This....

I doubt the boat non-incident erased the years of credibility he earned while helping to put a lombardi in the case.

Get a room, you two. Preferably in the midwest.
