You know what youre getting with Omameh. Its Flowers who is the problem (as expected). Still a better situation than last year. Shurmur should be able to work with this. At least the spots (like RT) that need upgrading will be clearer.
- Special Team still stink although we got away with some big mistakes. Examples...fumbled KO return (recovered), muffed punt denied any return, poor snap on long FG (holder did nice job), Herzlich missed punt returner dead to rights (penalty saved us). Not always going to get away with it.
- Eli Apple is getting targeted and giving up completions. He also completely whiffed on RB in the flat (on purpose?). Still not sure this guy should be starting.
- Right Tackles...both Flowers and Wheeler have moments that make them look clueless. Poor technique with footwork and lunging with head dropping down...this has to simply stop.
- Jon Stewart is worthless. All other RBs show nice abilities though and should be moving up while JS moves down the depth chart.

Unfortunately they don't have much choice. Who else is there, Leonard Johnson, Donte Deayon, B.W. Webb? They'll go hard on corners next year I would assume.
15 minute interview with their GM while game is going on
then hey let's go to Barry sanders for another 10.
Watching with the mute button has become a way of life
I agree. They barely showed the game while they were interviewing the Lions' GM. At least with Sanders, they more or less showed the action, and after all he is Barry Sanders.
Plus there was a Giants' injury near the end of the game, and all they talked about was the mental mistake that the Lions' rookie receiver made. I never did find out who was injured.
It was better than nothing, but I sure did miss Carl Banks.

We many not have a choice on Apple. But I think everybody better start getting themselves prepared that he is going to be taken advantage of by a lot of QBs and likely abused by others.
Not that the others on the roster are worth starting, I just wonder if they are really are just slightly worse than Apple. Cockrell should have gotten Stewart's money...this was a mistake.

Is the Lions GM able to stay up late to watch entire game?
