I forget who it was, but years ago, I'm almost certain that we lost a starter to a torn ACL in the preseason on a play where it looked like the guy only banged his knee off the crown of another Giant's helmet. It didn't look serious at all, even watching it in slow-motion, but that was all it took.
My thinking is, they let Martin walk back to the lockerroom from the tent, which suggests a ligament tear is less likely.
And Guice said he felt good. I didn’t see the hit, but a helmet to the knee is serious. I hope it’s just a bruise, but the Cowboys are sweating this out. Seriously. No desire to see a player get injured.

I didn’t see the play, but if he took a hit to the outside of the knee, he could have torn any or all of the MCL, ACL, and medial meniscus. Hopefully, it’s not serious. Even if he plays for the Cowboys, he’s a great player, and you hate to see anyone get hurt.

I believe you’re thinking of Terell Thomas who banged his knee off JPP’s helmet in a preseason game while biitzing. He tore his ACL and was of course done for the season.
Anyway, I won't pretend that I would be sad to see Zack Martin miss a few games.

Will most likely play week 1.
