Happ going against the old club. Hopefully a speed bump like Lynn hit in the beginning of Friday's game isn't on tap here. So far, Happ has been excellent here (3-0, 1.89, 0.737 WHIP) but the 4.53 FIP makes me nervous since a bit of regression seems inevitable.
Bottom of the lineup is a bit ugly. Whatever. Let's get this sweep and just keep it rolling.

In spite of his misplay in RF yesterday, I'd still rather have Walker out there than Robinson. Without Sanchez and Judge, I just think we need the better offensive guy playing.
Well Borucki has thrown 26 and hasn’t recorded an out yet so that works.
Heck of a 1st inning here by the Bombers.
Yeah hope so. I think the left hip got beat up there.

Yes. I guess it is like trying to guide a golf ball with your swing. Like He was trying not to miss or strike out.
Yea the first 5 times he looked safe, but the Ump can't call it using the "blade of grass in front of the base cam" that YES has

Bird out, but the 1st base umpire has been very good on these tight plays. Kudos.

The MLB review place in NY does have all the camera angles. One broadcast (YES?) was talking about what MLB has to make the calls and apparently they have the ability to go frame by frame, FWIW.
Oh, ok, missed what you were saying...It is amazing he was getting those right.
So far so good....
yep and O'Neill just identified what we all see. Gets ahead then tries to finesse a K instead of pitching to contact. Way too many extra pitches.
But he escapes without a run...
Nice sweep. 32 games over .500. 1st time this year.
That's more like it. :)
Haven’t had one in what, 3 weeks? Hopefully Didi won’t need too much more than that.
Nor is it the '68 Yanks. He's done a decent job.
What did he say? A heal bruise?

Another day off on Thursday too. Crazy how they can play so many in a row and then get two days off in a week.
Didi getting his heel checked out at the hospital. Hopefully that's just a precaution.
Yeah. Called it "significant", and his tone and general demeanor talking about it wasn't very positive. That said, it's an early diagnosis, I'm sure Boone is going off pretty limited information at this point.

That is not good. They cannot afford to lose another bat.
Good news, at least Sanchez is getting close.
Stanton didn't sound super confident in being able play RF in Miami. I think he will for one of the games but we'll see.
In any event... 32 games over .500 is the new high watermark for the year and certainly isn't too shabby.
This team just needs to get healthy, man. This is getting crazy.
