in older RBs, such as Earnest Byner and Terry Allen. However, Peterson is done. Think closer to Shaun Alexander finishing his career in Washington with a fork firmly implanted in his back.
Damn Charles, AP the Skins literally aren't leaving any stone unturned
But I also remember in 2016 when the Skins signed Vernon Davis, most everyone on this board (including one of the posters on this thread) said that Davis was "done".
Since then Davis has caught 113 passes for 1,231 yds.

Correction...
Davis has caught 87 total passes the last two years, not 113. (I was reading the wrong column.)
The total yards are still accurate...1,231 with an average ypc of 14.1.
He was a terrible fit in NO, but when he went to Arizon, he looked pretty damn good. Then he got hurt again. He seems to be very injury prone, but if he can stay healthy, he can still produce.
Yes, the Redskins have some good history with veteran RBs, but Earnest Byner was a year younger than Peterson when he left the Redskins, and Terry Allen was three years younger.
This is ALMOST like fast-forwarding in real time, or so it seems.
We all know and have seen how it all ends, but damn, it truly feels like yesterday that AP set the league on fire as a rookie and now, hes hoping to catch on somewhere. Kinda sad albeit expected
I think people are forgetting what AP was able to do in
Arizona last year. Not sure if anyone watched, but he still had something left in the tank until he hurt his neck. He did get banged up a bit, but he had a few beastly games for them. People seemed to write him off after the NO debacle, but that wasn't the end of the season for him.

#Redskins are signing RB Adrian Peterson, sources tell me and @RapSheet. Peterson embarks on his 12th NFL season with his fourth team. Needs 37 rushing yards to pass Jim Brown and crack the top 10 all time. Can do it quickly in Washington.
Pretty sure he could get 37 yards quickly anywhere
This. was gonna ask if he had anything left.

Not with the Olines the Giants have brought out the last 6 years.

Last year Darkwa rushed for 751 yds and Gallman had 476 yds behind that Giants OL...but you don't think AP could get 37 yds?
Can we please stop using the OL as an excuse for EVERYTHING?
