Cowboys offense was AWFUL against Carolina

Youtoo : 9/10/2018 2:26 pm
Their defense was good though. Held Carolina to 16 points.
Travis Frederick is out indefinitely due to illness.

Ezekiel Elliot only had 15 carries. I expect them to ride Elliot a lot more against the Giants. Looks like bad play calling.

Here is an article from Dallas about how bad the cowboys were

Thank you
Cowboys fans calling into Sirius nfl radio today

are going to pieces. I hope we step on their necks
I don't care what the results were against the Panthers....

they will come out looking for blood at home next week at home on national TV. Look for a close game, however they will not be an easy out. Elliot will get the rock 20 times or more IMO.
Cowboys are not strong at the skill positions
larryflower37 : 9/10/2018 3:08 pm : link
Outside of Elliott and the O-line has taken a step back.
It's a division game in there house so they will be ready to play.
Giants need to get up early like Carolina did.
Their offense only works if they can run and grind it out also allows Prescott to work off of play action.

Conor Williams was getting killed on the radio, I forget by whom. Basically said he wasn’t really that good in college and was awful yesterday. Their OL has definitely regressed a bit.

Williams looks really undersized for a guard. He's 6ft 5in and 310lb, but he looks really lanky
The Cowboys are in trouble
BillT : 9/10/2018 3:55 pm : link
With Fredericks out and a rookie starting a LG their OL is compromised. This team was little more that their OL and Zeke and without the great OL Zeke become just a very good back but not one that can take over a game. That means Prescott has to make plays with his arm and he's another Bortles as a thrower. And it's doubly bad because Cole Beasly is probably their best receiver. Also, they won't be able to dominate the TOP and that exposes their ok but not great D to extra possessions.

Dak to the list of very over rated players that get created every year by the media. OL took a huge hit w the Fredricks issue. Williams is a rookie who dropped like a rock on draft day for a reason.

Their WRs are below average as a group. The loss of Witten is huge.

They need to pray Marinelli never leaves as if he does that D will degrees back to form

Travis Frederick is the best center in football. Losing him makes their offensive line not nearly as special.

... I'd still trade ours for theirs though.
Not to worry, the cowturd offense is playing the Giants on Sunday
SterlingArcher : 9/10/2018 8:57 pm : link
night before the whole country, historically the Giants have shit the bed in prime time games so look for the cowturd offense to show why they should be considered for the SB!

Dak Prescott is definitely going to the Super Bowl this season.

The only question is whether he'll have a good view from his seats.
Having watched Dallas yesterday...
bw in dc : 9/10/2018 10:01 pm : link
and a few of their preseason games, I’ve never been more confident predicting that they will struggle to win five games.

Btw, can Elliott get something new over that worn out feed me schtick?
I am not always right, but I was about Dak..
EricJ : 9/10/2018 10:44 pm : link
in the midst of his rookie year when the team was winning and he was getting all of that praise, I was telling people that he was not that good. He was doing it with mirrors. Zeke was having a tremendous year and defenses were crowding the box allowing Dak to throw easily into a bare secondary.

During that season, he never had to put the team on his shoulders and win it with his arm. His completions were nothing more than an added value to a dominant run game.

The chickens are coming home to roost.
The only thing I'm hoping for is a win against Dallas on Sunday night
Fishmanjim57 : 9/11/2018 9:33 am : link
I don't want to see the Giants go 0-2 again. I'm sick of seeing this team lose.
I think we beat them up
AcesUp : 9/11/2018 11:22 am : link
They are missing Frederick and we have Snacks. I don't see them running us with consistency. Their front 7 has improved recently but they are a far cry from Jacksonville. We'll have much more success on offense than we did last week.

It's deja vu
family progtitioner : 9/11/2018 11:27 am : link
all over again. Every year we hear that the Dallas front 7 is diminished and every year, except 2016, they punch the Giants in the mouth. I'm not buying it. Not with this O line and immobile Eli.
I realize Jackson ville's offense isn't a juggernaut,
Beezer : 9/11/2018 11:29 am : link
but the defensive adjustments, and maybe just guys settling in a but, was very encouraging to see after halftime.

I hope our D can come out and play them to a stalemate ... I have a good feeling about our offense being able to score more than 15 this weekend. Hold Dallas under 17 and it's a W, imo.

The Giants should win - and I'm never sold on anything with this franchise since Parcells and his crew left. Dallas is a "lottery team" right now.

But if we slip and lose it's going to be a season on the brink. Because then we face this:

Texans, Saints, Panthers, Eagles, Falcons.

It's not inconceivable that we could be 1-6 by late October...
Defense was good against Carolina...
Dan in the Springs : 9/11/2018 2:32 pm : link
Truth is from what I saw Cam threw an awful lot of very ugly passes completely missing some open receivers. Not once or twice, but in every quarter he stalled drives because his accuracy wasn't consistently good.

Dallas on defense looked good, not amazing, and I wonder what a QB with better accuracy could have done against them.

And in Cam's defense, he also had some amazing runs which is a very strong part of his game.
