Hey guys, sorry I'm not posting this on the FF thread, but I need some quick advice on an FF trade and have to make a decision quickly. I promise I will delete this shortly after I make my decision (which will be soon)...
I'd be giving up:
Julio Jones
Travis Kelce
Kenyan Drake
In return I'm getting:
OBJ
Devonta Freeman
It seems like a good deal, but I'm just a little uneasy about Freeman for some reason. But Gore looked good for Miami and might take some of Drake's production.
One catch: It's a keeper league and Drake will have a 5th rd keeper value next season. The other keeper values in this instance don't really matter.
I'm trying to also get the guy to throw in Peyton Barber or Alshon Jefferey but not sure it's going to happen.
What do y'all think??
Freeman kinda scares the hell outta me this year right now...although I think OBJ might be worth it depending on who else you have.
Hahaha and that is a big IF.
Drake was a 9th round keeper for me this year. Huge steal IMO. I'm just hoping Gore doesn't have a huge comeback year and steal his spotlight.

What about:
OBJ and Freeman
for
Jones, Kelce, Carlos Hyde.
Even with replacing Drake with Hyde??
Freeman is as of now better than Drake. But Freeman splits time with Coleman who looks better this year.
Kelce is the stud that is being thrown in for no reason at all.
KEEP KELCE!!!

By the way..for even considering this trade you should be banned from fantasy forever.

He took Drake out and now just wants Hyde. So I'm giving up Kelce to "upgrade" from Hyde to Freeman.
Everyone is so down on Freeman, he was drafted so high in so many leagues.
I really appreciate everyone's advice though this is extremely helpful.
Odell and Julio are comparable and I personally like Drake better than Freeman but there isn't a big difference.
You'd be giving Kelce away after one bad week, he's a stud in a strong offense.
It's just funny because I got Kelce #30 overall and Freeman was taken #12 overall. Hyde, meanwhile, I believe I got in the 7th or 8th round. Usually I would think giving up a 7th or 8th roudn draft pick to move up from #30 to #12 would be worth it, but sounds like this is a pretty bad idea.
^^this is correct. Not only is it a bad trade for you, it's REALLY bad. I wouldn't even do the deal if you additionally got Barber or Jeffery.

I wouldn’t want Freeman at all, I bet Drake has a better season. They difference between Jones and Beckham won’t be big either way and then losing Kelce on top of it would make it an instant reject.

It's funny it sounds like most people wouldn't trade Kelce for Freeman straight-up, so it's funny that Freeman had such a higher ADP.
I see yeah that makes sense. Good point.

for not that much upside in return. Even if Kelce takes a 20% hit on production he’s still going to be better than anyone that you’d fill his shoes with.

For me, think about Freeman's value as a guy you are going to get the next 4-6 games of. I don't believe you are going to get a good year or a complete season from Freeman. He doesn't protect himself well and he's not taking the hits as well as he used to, either. It's a bad combination and I see Freeman on IR before November.
16 RBs taken... where? In the first 2 rounds. Or within the first 16 picks??
I hear what you're saying though. I am certainly guilty of over-valuing RBs. I always thought there were like 10 RBs who were consistently good and after that who knows, and I thought Freeman was one of those ~10. I thought having 2 of those 10 would be extremely valuable (I already have MGIII), but I see why I might be undervaluing Kelce. Glad I talked it out with you guys.
It's just funny. Melvin Gordon III went the pick right before Freeman. I would think trading Kelce to upgrade from Hyde to MGIII (or even up to Fournette, who went later) would be a no-brainer. Maybe I'm just not realizing how valuable Kelce is.
