Particularly Barkley and Shurmur. Looks like these calls were good and Barkley was close to breaking a few more if not for great plays by the Jaguars' D and some mess ups in the secondary. We won't play this D every week, so a lot to look forward too. And as I said sounds like great play design.

Other beat writers should take notes.
The Jags were 10-6 last year, not 16-0. They were shut out in second haldyand very beatable
We played toe-to-toe with the team that should have been in the SB last year. We could've have won yes, but we just missed a couple of chances. Ok so what, overall we played much better than last year. If we can play that type of game week in and week out we will make the playoffs. most teams will not have the defense and running game of Jax.
Lets see if I'm right starting in Dallas.
1st half with Fournette Jax ) punts
2nd half w/o Fournette punted every possession
If the O-line improves I will be more hopeful, but if it doesn't we are in for another year of misery.

Once again, what if we had Vernon? Once again, they had their best drive with Yeldin. You have absolutely no clue what would have happened with Fournette. The Giants clearly made adjustments in the second half. GTFO with your incessant negativity.

from last year, OBJ great as usual, O-line sucked as usual, D was OK. Fournette loss was huge and only reason game was close:

I am sorry reality is so hard for you to handle. Is a gtfo really necessary, keep it civil.

What reality? You have absolutely zero idea what would have happened with Fournette. They had their best drive with Yeldin and clearly, the Giants made adjustments in the second half. You choose to take the most negative interpretation of what happened. That has been going on for months here. And you somehow forget that one of our best defensive players was out of the game. If you want to take the absolutely most negative interpretation of what happened and disregard our injury and call it reality I won't just quietly accept that.

Uh, let's see I used facts and you use "what ifs" with Fournette 0 punts w/o Fournette punted every time. To use Vernon as an excuse is just lame, it's the NFL if you can't overcome injuries you're not gonna be successful! The O-line sucked and they only scored 15 points, how is that any different from last year. And if they don't improve and quickly they are going to have a hard time in dallas and if they lose that...well Houston is next. So take off the rose-colored glasses Pollyanna and look at what is right in front of you!

Are you serious now? Think about what you wrote here. You're basically saying, the only reason the game was close was Fournette's injury but I can't use Vernon's injury as an excuse. Do you not understand the blatant inconsistency there? You can use Fournette's injury but I can't use Vernon's injury. Did you at any point when writing that not realize the inconsistency of that stance?

And you could have added... "year after year".

Facts: Giants scored 15 points
OBJ was great
Giants O-line sucked
Giants lost
Forget Fournette because you seem unable to comprehend that he was in the game while Vernon was not. How are the above results any different than last year?

Oh dude come on. 10/13 losses last year were by more than 5 points. The difference is that the Giants usually would not come nearly that close to winning AND it was happening against teams not nearly as good as JAX.
If we convert that 2 point conversion, or if we got the DPI call on Shep on the last drive, or if Eli/Shep make that one play, or if Eli hit Beckham on one of those deep balls, we might have one the game. Literally just came up short by 1 or 2 plays against a team that almost beat the Pats in the AFCCG last year. You can't tell this is just same ol' same ol' 2017 McAcrap Giants from the JAX game alone.
I think Jack had a major injury concern.

Same bs mantra..only change is the calendar..
Based on what? We had a higher TOP and total yards for the game. I don't see this huge difference in roster talent that was apparent in this game. Sounds like confirmation bias to me.

I can comprehend logic, your post lacks logic. Vernon is a member of the 2018 New York Giants team. The only difference is that Vernon being out handicapped us for 4 quarters and Fournette being out handicapped the Jags for 2 quarters and change. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you're being purposely obtuse in order to win an argument thinking that you can pull a fast on me.

I'm trying to pull a fast one on you, really that's your take...pretty sad, did you dispute any of my facts, uh NO!
The giants lost and to sit there and cry about Vernon being out is just weak BS! And this just in Vernon is no Fournette, at this point he is a slightly better than average DE.
