NFT: American Horror Story: Apocaplyse...

first episode of season 8 aired last night...it used to be a fan favorite here but fell off the map the past few seasons (as did my watching it)...

there was some good and some bad last night...I'm going to give it another episode or two before I pass judgment on continuing to watch...anyone else have any thoughts, yea or nay?
I couldn't get past the first few episodes of Season 1

because I found it to be too derivative.
It was different

and unique so far, so I'll watch.

But they haven't come close to season 1 IMO, and I've watched them all.

At least I could understand what was happening

That show is just Ryan Murphy doing whatever the f he wants and half the time it's barely discernible. MY wife loves it and I end up having to watch it too.

was weird but it has me interested. I didn't bother with last season. Got halfway through the premiere and gave up
Last season was brutal

they all were other than the 1st season.

I loved each premise, and liked the 1st episodes for the most part and they get progressively worse as the seasons drag on.

No idea why I still watch, other than I though season 1 was so good.

I like parts of each season. I liked the circus one probably second best and it's a distant second. the asylum had so much potential and fell flat, the hotel one too, and failed to execute, Roanoke I thought had the most potential of them all and turned into a plot disaster. Even the New Orleans one started off well.

The cult one was just terribly done all around and was a clear shot at current American politics which I don't think even struck a chord with the target audience. Seems rushed, contrived, uninteresting, and boring.
