Can someone help me understand whats going on with ESPN?
I subscribe to the magazine, get Insider for free and get a lot of options (Espn3, Acc Network...) streaming thru Roku because of my DirecTV service.
Now I get an email That says:
"Insider, plus everything ESPN+ has to offer at no extra cost.
Great news, you'll continue to get access to Insider coverage, plus live sports and exclusive originals—all at no extra cost! Insider content is now integrated into ESPN+, the new multi-sport, video streaming service from ESPN."
I understood that ESPN+ was $5 a month, but now its free?
Sounds too good to be true. What am I missing?
I'm sure they'll find a way to raise the cost in the future.
Or maybe they'll add it to the content you get with being a cable subscriber.
I guess you're right, but I subscribe to the Sports Package on DirecTV and there is lots of stuff on the app that is not on DirecTV... Syracuse BB & FB come to mind.
Plus looks like it carries more non-mainstream sports and the Ivy League.
