They have no offense besides Elliot and I think we can shut him down because he runs toward our strength in the middle. We are more susceptible to the outside runners and that does not play to Elliot's strength. Maybe wishing instead of predicting, but I do think the Giants will win 24-10 or in a comfortable manner. If we can't win this game, it is going to be another long season with our schedule.
Giants 27-13. However the realist in me sees continued issues with O-line and skittish Eli and we see another pick 6, more drops from EE and SS and the Giants lose 21-17. I hope optimism wins
oddsmakers always favor the desperate team at home. This Giants team is too full of itself for showing up against Jax.
Flowers can't handle Lawrence ruining another Sunday for Eli.
When was the last time the Giants scored more than 20 even, I'll believe it when I see it.
most of them are. With that said, I think Dak will have a better game this week as he seems very determined to right their ship, especially after Collins comments about having a better chance of winning putting the ball in his hands. Linehan will have them using more misdirection, play-action, bootlegs, etc against this D. We've been susceptible to QBs running with the ball, as well. Our offense has to show up this week and start scoring points. I will then become a believer. I just hope this doesn't become another moral victory. Just find a way to win this game.

Cowboys 20-Giants-17
I’m curious what evidence you have of the team being too full of itself for showing up against Jacksonville. Not trying to be a jerk, just asking genuinely because I don’t get the sense anyone is truly satisfied with Sunday’s result, from fans, to players/coaches, to front office. I think a lot of us saw some positives from Sunday, but I don’t see the Giants losing because of a mindset of being full of itself.
I think the Giants will win 21-13. Offense still needs some work and will struggle with the Dallas pass rush. Our big playmakers will make some big plays, but Elliott will also get his fair share of damage done. However, I don’t think what Elliott will do is going to be enough to carry their offense.
Giants 38 Cowboys 28 but it isn't that close, Cowboys points come at slop time. Eli throws for 400 yds and 4tds helped by SB taking a long screen pass to the house and OBJ taking a long slant home. Britt makes 100 comments in two hours and ambulances show up at his house when Eli bashers are forced admit they were wrong.
until you see this team play with some sort of confidence?.....there have been "wins" along the way, the last several years, but I haven't seen a Giant team strut around for a long time(even during the 11-5 season).....

Good players play great games because they are very good players not because of what another player on the other team says. If you need that to play a great game then you weren't that good to begin with.
I really don't think Dallas is any good, particularly at WR and TE. I am so excited to watch OBJ and Barkley. Both will score and both will go over 100 total yards each.
I am actually feeling confident about this game. I don't know why. I just think things are going to come together for us a bit. And I think we are going to get the type of win that we've been starved for.
I usually get more optimistic as game time approaches, so it might just be that. But I really don't think much of this Dallas team and the Giants are better and should win. If we lose, it's going to be a LONG season.
Last time I predicted a Giants blow out against the Cowboys Â
I can't tell if some of you are for real. I'm optimistic about this game, but half of you guys are making these guys look rational
I could only speak for myself but I'm more down on the Cowboys than I am high on the Giants. They've leaned on their OL the last few years and it's not what it was. Not even close if last week was any indication. They were arguably worse than the Giants line in Week 1.
hard to know enough at this point, but presumably if we finally capitalize on our opportunities we should win easily - e.g., 28-10; otherwise if think we lose 28-10 if we let dak and elliot get loose and we have turnovers
Eli goes for 275 yards and 2 TDs (one to beckham and one to Engram).
Barkley goes for 122 and a TD
We get a pick 6 on Dak... lets go with Landon Collins
lo Carter gets his first sack of his career.
We pick off Prescott 3 times.
Sorry, I thought that said defensive line. I haven't had coffee yet.
In any event. It has been one game. I don't think we know that Carolina's offensive line is "much better" than ours or how good anyone really is after one week. They scored 16 points. We scored 15. We also played against a much better defense.
Considering Dallas is favored by 3 points, maybe there's just a little Giants bias on BBI... just a little. (:-)
Based on the past 20 years of playing in Dallas, one pattern emerges in sharp relief: the Giants need to score 20 or more points to win!
Dallas at 0-1 in front of their hometown fans against a division rival is going to cause lots of problems. Tell me ahead of time how our o-line performs (especially Ereck Flowers)Sunday night, and I'll tell you who will win this ballgame.
Giants win 30-13.
Eli goes for 310 yards, 3 TD's
Saquon gets 119 yards on 22 carries and another TD
Defense causes 3 turnovers
Zeke loses his cool and starts barking at everyone
Total Domination in Jerry's world!
I see a lot of people pointing out who Flowers will be dealing with - which is fair. But who is covering Beckham?
Carolina just rushed for 147 yards against the Dallas D.
Who is stopping Barkley?
We have players THEY need to deal with, too. It's not Ereck Flowers against the Dallas Cowboys.
Carolina's offensive line as a unit is much better than ours.
Disagree with this. Williams played for 3 quarters in the game but he wasn’t fully healthy. Below is from PFF’s post week 1 OL rankings. Carolina came in dead last in the NFL. They were far better than the Giants last year with Norwell but they weren’t good either. Flowers stinks and as a unit they didn’t play well in week 1 but should improve with each game and Jax’s DL is still the best in the game.
Starting Lineup:
Left Tackle: Taylor Moton, 69.3
Left Guard: Greg Van Roten, 48.3
Center: Ryan Kalil, 53.7
Right Guard: Trai Turner, 67.0
Right Tackle: Amini Silatolu, 48.3
Let’s say a prayer for Cam Newton. Both the Panthers starting tackles are now on injured reserve and while last year’s second-round pick in Moton should be able to fill in competently on the left side, they are in dire straits on the right side. Silatolu had a 35.6 pass-blocking grade at guard a season ago and now they have him playing tackle. That’s a combination for disaster.
I think the Cowboys can do the things the Jags did well last week better even with their limited WR personnel. Dak is better than Bortles. The Jags had success making the Giants defend sideline to sideline with bootlegs, run options, drag patterns, crossing patterns, RPOs, passes to RBs, and running off tackle. While JackRabbit and Eli Apple might have advantages outside, Cole Beasley is still in the slot and his entire purpose is to create and convert manageable third downs. I think we're going to give up some points and consequently, will have to score 24+ points to win.
I'm very interested to see how the Cowgirls defend the Giants. Will they repeat the same things they did most of the McAdoo era... prevent Odell deep passes and keep everything in front of them? One reason that worked is because they never had to respect the Giants running game. I think Barkley needs to be a major focus for the Giants, even if it's constant play action to slow down the pass rush. After last week, I'm more confident that Shurmer's offensive can get Odell free even if the opponent is playing conservative zones in the secondary. Needless to say the offensive line has to be at least competitive tonight. I also want to see Engram make some plays without the Jags' great coverage LBs out there.
I REALLY hope Eli has a big game because people are talking about him like a fucking dog now. It's so disrespectful.
Unfortunately, I think the Giants come up a bit short. I hope I'm very wrong. 'Pokes - 24, G-Men - 21
RE: Unlike lots of other people, I don't love the matchup for our defense. Â

Cowboys 20-Giants-17
Cowboys 17
Eli throws for 220, 1 TD, 1 INT (there’s always 1)
Barkley goes for 120 and another score from the goal line
No Dallas TE goes for more than 30 yards
OBJ 7 for 160 2 TD's
Barkley 25 for 175 and 2 scores
Defense cause 3 to's
35-10 Giants win
We are going to smoke them
Dallas 23, Giants 20
Dallas 23, Giants 20
No way the Giants lose this game
Go Giants we need a win!
Saquon gets 90 yards and a TD
We hold Zeke to under 100 yards.
I think they win, but it's a division game, it'll be close and ugly.
Flowers can't handle Lawrence ruining another Sunday for Eli.

Our O-line will be embarrassed again, and the refs will blow a crucial call.
...Giants need to prove they can win a game before I'm picking them.
Dallas 21
Giants 17
NY 26
Dallas 17
Eli 19-29, 213, 2 TDs
Saquon 21-96
Lorenzo Carter 1st NFL sack
I think we see the offense click a little bit better this week, and I have confidence the D can shut down the run.
Good players play great games because they are very good players not because of what another player on the other team says. If you need that to play a great game then you weren't that good to begin with.
I actually think the Cowboys of 2018 will be a lot like the Giants of 2017, and vice versa.
Dallas looked hapless and the Giants lost to a better team but kept it competitive.
If the Giants lose.....i feel the season will be lost before it even started.....much like last year.
So, i sure hope the Giants win.
Eli throws for 250 yards but again no TDs and goes 2 for 12 in red zone
Flowers gets sacked on twice
I usually get more optimistic as game time approaches, so it might just be that. But I really don't think much of this Dallas team and the Giants are better and should win. If we lose, it's going to be a LONG season.
Won't make that mistake again.
Giants 27
Cowboys 20
Eli pick on last drive to end chance at tying game up
Elliot out rushes god Barkley
Engram will couple more drops
Two mediocre teams on a prime time game

My heart prediction - Giants 27 - Cowboys 24
Beckham goes wild - 10/150/2 TDs
rabbit 2 picks
OBJ 10 rec for 140yds
giants fans change their tune now talking SB
Week 15 of last season wasn't that long ago. It has only been 3 games since we haven't hit 20 and two of them were last season.
This offense has enough firepower now to put up points. It was different last year before Barkley was here, and Beckham was out for the year.
I will be really, really surprised if we can't crack 20 points on Sunday.
Barkley goes for 122 and a TD
We get a pick 6 on Dak... lets go with Landon Collins
lo Carter gets his first sack of his career.
We pick off Prescott 3 times.
Carolina just rushed for 147 yards against the Dallas D.
Who is stopping Barkley?
We have players THEY need to deal with, too. It's not Ereck Flowers against the Dallas Cowboys.
Giants kick 5 FGs
Dallas scores two TDs
Eli drives for the GW FG with less than 2 minutes left
Carolina just rushed for 147 yards against the Dallas D.
Who is stopping Barkley?

I can see Lee being a hero and winning the day.
Barkley runs for 100 yards and a receiving TD
Engram gets a TD and 60 yards
BUT NOT THIS YEAR BABY!
GIANTS 23
DALLAS 14

It's possible. He's been a gigantic pain in the fucking ass forever. But Witten being gone gives me a glimmer of hope.
-Barks with 2 TDs
-OV with 2.5 sacks
Carolina just rushed for 147 yards against the Dallas D.
Who is stopping Barkley?

Carolina's offensive line as a unit is much better than ours.

Saquon gets 119 yards on 22 carries and another TD
