NFT: Apple Watch

Samiam : 9/14/2018 1:34 pm
Have question about the Apple Watch. If I get the watch that you don't have a monthly fee to access the internet, would I be able to access the internet in places where there is free Wifi? Does this answer matter if it's the 3 or the new 4 version? Thanks for any help.
If you get a non-cellular model

It relies on your phone's cell service. So you would need to have your phone with you to have internet access for apps and such.
If you don’t purchase the watches own cellular

Plan it runs off your phone. If your cell phone is hooked up to free WiFi or is using any signal the watch’s apps will feed off of hat.
hmmm

well if you don't have cell version of watch - then it actually gets data from your iPhone and not really by itself
but it does have wifi if your iPhone is out of range
but it won't connect by itself .( you can't do any wifi login )
. you need to have iPhone on the wifi network previously for watch to be able to access wifi

a few years ago talking to some of my fellow nerdy colleagues. At some point we realized that all of us were wearing Apple watches. Someone asked what app do we use the most. Most of replied that we just use it to tell time.
Does 5G Make a Difference with the Phones?

Maybe another (dumb) question. Shen 5G comes out and is available in your area, would users who want to use 5G have to buy new phones ? Would phones that use 4G be automatically upgraded?
You can use any WiFi network

but you can only log onto it using your phone. Once that happens your watch “remembers” the network and will work if you then shut your phone off. Places with guest logins like hotels probably won’t work, however.

I really don’t use the apps either but I love the health aspects. I love trying to close my rings every day, tracking steps, etc. Also, I’ve grown to appreciate getting notifications/texts a half a second faster. It actually makes a difference once you adjust IMO.
I wish there was a better way to upgrade

From version to version, thats really my only complain.
