NFT: HP Chromebook questions

Big Rick in FL : 9/14/2018 11:54 pm
So I canceled my NFL Sunday Ticket, because it's way too expensive. I hate going to the bar to watch Giants games. So I bought an HP Chromebook that I can connect to my TV and illegally stream Giants & Real Madrid games. I got that down and that works great. I also downloaded a couple Chrome extensions.

My question for you guys is what else can I do with this Chromebook? Is it possible to put widgets on the desktop? What are some other good Chrome extensions that I can download? What are some good apps to download? Thanks for any and all help!!
Most Chromebooks Today Run Android Apps

If you have a more recent model, it most likely runs Android apps in addition to the Chrome extensions. I use a Google Pixelbook as my primary laptop and it can handle most anything. Even Microsoft Office documents can be handled either using Google Docs or MS Office Android apps.

Go the the Google Play store and try various apps on the Chromebook, it handles 95% of what you probably need to do. Surfing, Watching Videos, Playing Music, Word Processing and Spreadsheets.

I use it for a lot of the web stuff I do on the road. Pretty much anything you can do in a web browser the Chromebook is good for.

Mine runs Android apps as well and there's Linux on the horizon as well.
NFL on Chromebook

Watching games really depends on your location. If you're in the NY area, you can just go to locast.com or buy a OTT service. You don't have to be in NY if you get a VPN and use the NY server.

I would guess that the alternative approaches (ie Reddit stream) might also work but I use DirecTV Now when I am out the area and can stream the games on NY local channels. The same approaches works with locast.com, so you might not need DTVN.
