Maybe the coaches think his potential outweighs the ceiling of other guys out there. Same kind of thinking Reese fell guilty too but In the meantime maybe he’s as good as anyone else they would put in there.

It really looks like 74 is a tethered helium balloon.....he just gets slapped out of the way on every passing down, is there no one else that can at least step in front of charging defenders?

excuses for him or anyone else ...but he is playing a new position. If he struggled as much as he did on the left side for the years that he was there, why would anyone think he would be a instant success playing somewhere he has never played or hasn't played since his freshman year in college. Give the guy a break let's see what happens over the next 3 games, honestly these are probably the most important games of this guys career. As someone said he probably will not be a Giant next but if he flops completely he will be done as a NFL player. I hope he succeeds and goes on to be a serviceable RT. Personally I never thought he was a tackle left or right I always thought his best position would have been LG.

Truly amazing that he is unable to even get in the way of pass-rushers, I find it hard to believe that Wheeler could be any worse.

I guess OV "owned" him in practice, you would think they would have also tried him at RG, and put someone else at RT....

The only thing that kept him on this team is his dead money....
