than the exaggeration is that TWC has said that the reporter was struggling since he was on soft, slippery grass while the other two were on solid ground.
My wife said they should've just manned up and said, "Sorry, our guy is a douche".
actually add insult to those that suffer real damage. The media is so desperate to capture the devastation. Part of it is that some members of the media could not be where the worst of the storm is for their own safety, yet still needs to provide coverage for the 24/7 news cycle.
With Flo, there was a reporter in Myrtle Beach while the eye was making landfall in Wilmington. It was breezy, but nothing horrible. Yet, the media was able to find a backdrop of "devastation" to deliver their live reports from. It was a backdrop of a diner where the cloth awning was down. The sad part was that the same backdrop was used by different reporters. I envisioned a logjam of reporters waiting patiently for other reporters to deliver their report so that they could deliver their own devastating news to the viewing public.
