Fans thought McAdoo was harsh, disrespectful to Eli. One thing I will say though, McAdoo wasn’t paralyzed by the past.
-Wanted to trade for Mahomes
-Wanted to see what we had behind Eli in a lost season
-Held Eli accountable
No one loves Eli more than me for what he’s done for this franchise, but 2011 was a long time ago.
When McAdoo wanted to look forward, the mob mentality of the fans stopped it & I fully think Mara reacted to those fans & here we are.

Eli's needs to share in the blame as well. Not all on him by any stretch of the imagination, but as the cornerstone of this franchise he hasn't elevated the play of this team. Love him dearly but watching him play is a hard watch. This team is hard to watch!
McAdoo sucked. So did Reese who's pathic drafting out the Giants where they are. Eli may need to be replaced but anyone who thinks McAdoo wasn't a huge issue is a moron

Bingo. Gettleman was out of football for two years for a reason. He’s a relic building a team based on a 1980s philosophy. Taking a running back with he number 2 pick when you have no oline and qb whose done, I mean this is 30 for 30 quality material. Now all the maras can do is hope Darnold ends up being a bust. But so far I’ve seen a qb with all the tools who looks like he ll develop into a very good qb at least.

McAdoo benched Webb and never played him. McAdoo never openly endorsed Webb, ever. McAdoo endorsed Geno.
