Maybe that's why the regulars used to play in preseason

The whole team, but especially the offense, full of new players, old players playing at new positions.

How do they learn to play together as a unit unless they're out there under game conditions.

So no serious injuries during the preseason, and it isn't until the games count that we watch the new offense running around like a headless chicken.

willing to roll the dice in not starting their starters in the pre-season at the risk of some early season loses. It's a new way of thinking and I think it's very wrong!

But the starting O-Line should've played Week 4 of the preseason. It was a completely new O-Line and they needed to take as many reps together as possible so they could gel.

That time was needed to figure things out; not just on game days. Practices aren't enough.
