This year, worst year to be terrible from a QB need perspective. Just looked at Giants schedule, I can’t figure out how they do not start 0-7. Maybe they beat the Saints at home, so 1-6 going into the wash game at home.
There aren’t any qbs worth a top pick in the 2019 draft. Herbert might, might be the only one. However, he is another Oregon spread offense qb who tend not to have a lot of success in the NFL, see joey Harrington and Marcus Mariota. The rest are just a bunch of guys who went back to school for another year because they came back as mid round grades in the 2018 draft and couldn’t compete with the likes of Mayfield Darnold Allen or Rosen, guys like lock and Finley.

will be the next Franchise QB for the New York Giants if they keep up this pace the rest of the season and it wouldn't be so bad! Lock, Barkley, Beckham, Engram and a fixed OL could be a very bright future. Even if the Giants manage to win 8 games they should trade up for Lock in the 2019 draft.

Drew Lock is a mid round pick who went back to school because he came back with a mid round grade last year. Meaning he wasn’t even in the same class as Lamar Jackson. Drew lock is Davis Webb 2.0 and shouldn’t be anything close to a first round pick.
Go look up the 2018 draft profile in lock, he’s not any good. What’s comica is that so many in here bashed the likes of Darnold, and now we’re praying for Drew Lock, you can’t make this stuff up.
But enough already stop defending him, he is just as much apart of this. A mobile qb would have put points up today. This Dallas team is not good, they aren’t even average.
And that’s exactly why it was time to lean into the rebuild for a year, move on from Eli (for money reasons...this OL was simply never ever going to make him thrive), and try to set the table to grind out games in 2019 and be ready to begin ascending in 2020.
I actually like Shurmur, but the mindset heading into this offseason was such a massive fuck-up that my brain hurts.
