Honestly, when I heard both Gettleman and Shurmur bring up not only one data point in a season but a CLEAR outlier to defend Eli I was 100% positive it was just coach and GM-speak. I mean someone with an IQ of over 20 should realize that one game where a player played completely out of character in a season should not be any indication of what that player can do. But looks like they legitimately actually believed this nonsense. Not sure what to make of two people running the team that make franchise-altering decisions based on the sample size of 1 and not only a sample size of 1, 1 game that was a clear outlier. And btw, yes the O-line is absolute garbage, doesn't mean that our QB is any good.
