Should be fired, but then again he never should have been hired. He was a relic, building teams on a 1980s philosophy. Didn’t he take Christian Mccafrey (sp?) with stop 10 pick, I think the panthers are still trying to figure out how to use him.
To tell them to hire the guy they would have hired anyway without Ernie being brought in to tell them that. Touched by the hand of god, hog mollie, and any other nonsensical press statement aside...nothing has worked out yet that Gettleman has done.

McCaffrey is their best offensive player sans Cam.

Right now he's the most dynamic player on the team. He's had 20+ touches both weeks. With Olsen out, he's basically their offense.

We're two games into his GM tenure.
Yes. But do you have confidence at this point that the changes he made in the offseason will produce a better season than the ones we have seen the last few years?
how Jonathan Stewart hasn't lost a step one more time...
This is the DG question that should actually interest people (the Barkley v Darnold question won’t be settled for years). But DGs thing was always that he wasn’t sentimental to vets. Most famously letting Steve smith walk (which was a terrible decision). But Stewart remains. Three years past his prime

Stewart was not a good signing, but I'm not sure what the $4 million cap hit he's worth would've been useful for, had we not signed him.
Letting Steve Smith go was a necessary decision without the benefit of hindsight, and an excellent decision with that benefit. He wanted a long-term deal before anyone knew how well he would recover from his knee injury, and when management told him 'No way,' he jumped ship and caught a grand total of 25 passes in his final two years in the league.

Keeping Sharp over Clay or Clay over Sharp is really just a coin flip decision - the type that should be net neutral when evaluating a GM
It would have helped us a year or two, and 10 years, from now.
Because it’s what teams do when they play offense like ours for 2+ years...
