Oh.
Wait.
He can't.
Because he has not had an offensive line that has allowed him to remain upright or allowed him to think in the pocket for more than .03 seconds for at least 10 seasons now.
The people hating and blaming Eli tonight, last week, last season, and even the last 5 years can seriously go F themselves.
Especially the ones who found pleasure in seeing him get nailed over and over on the Game Thread tonight.
Fuck you.
Go lay down.
/Venting session.
Thank you.
The rest who want to see Eli move on just realize his best football is behind him. There's no ill will toward him, and plenty of gratitude for what he's done - but there's no evidence over the past few years despite different systems and personnel that Eli is capable of playing behind anything but an impenetrable wall of an OL, which the Giants won't have time to build before he hangs them up if they even were capable of doing so in the first place.
This team can be very potent, Cowboys got away with a lot of arm bars and holding
we could be 0-4 before this shit clicks, at least we have a captain and the ship is sailing in the right direction. besides Eli, this team is young.
be patient
DG need minimum 2 more off-seasons to fix all of the Reese mess
Oh shit, we have an Internet football superstar here...LMAO
"yeah, I won my Madden 2017 league so I fucking played!!"

+1 our lofty expectations and giants blinders caused us to believe we would be good thids year....we are rebuilding a pretty bad mess....30/53 are new. thats HUGE turnover

Good post
Drafting Darnold or trading down to get another lineman would change virtually nothing about the situation we're in right now. I think folks have a tough time accepting that Gettleman and Shurmur have more than a one year rebuild in front of them. The OL, especially, was always going to take time to sort itself out.

Now don't start getting all logical, I read here that Eli can no longer tie his shoes. This place is ridiculous.
and you want Vernon & Carter rushing - w/Barwin spelling them nit him a a starter with Martin on the opposite side.
Stop being so damn sensitive. Eli doesnt need you to defend his honor. Ya know, its possible to love Eli and the things hes done throughout his career and still be objective when watching these games. Is it the OLs fault he's reading the field poorly and missing receivers?

No ill will towards him? Not the feeling I get from 2/3 the posts on BBI recently.

right side is all crap and Solder is not the second coming of Jumbo Elliot, despite the jersey #
I expect DG to get on the phone tomorrow am
Tonight he didn't even have time tondecjde whether to take a sack or throw the ball away.
His line hung him out to dry.
Our offensive line individually most likely woukd have stellar careers elsewhere but collectively as a unit they can't protect our quarterback.
Year after year after year we have so much individual talent. Every year starts out high anticipated. But it always seems to meld together into useless garbage... As only the Giants seem to be able to do....

got nailed, pretty sure it was limited to him.

That's BS - people wanting to move on from Eli aren't wishing him harm, they just feel like for whatever reason - whether Eli isn't the player he once was, or the personnel doesn't fit him - he's not capable of leading the Giants to victory on a consistent basis.
I get fans being emotional - Eli has been here a long time, and he's delivered championships and some great play. But he has been a leader on a team that's been highly dysfunctional for years now and makes a lot of money. Every player hits a point in their career where they're no longer able to play at a high enough level, and for Eli it's possible that time has come and gone.
People who are lamenting Eli's moving on are thinking it brings the 07-11 championship era to a close, when in fact that era has been over for some time now.

3/5th of our oline is stinking garbage
Quote:Yes.
And has been for nearly Eli Mannings whole career.
Is it Eli's fault he has no time to even throw a halfway decent pass because of the o-line?
