but did ownership screw this up again, thinking that we were only a few players away from competing?
I just don't see this team turning this around....
And if that is the case, then ownership was wrong in listening to DG.....the moves DG made were to get us to the playoffs, not to rebuild for the future.....and this team does not look like anything close to a playoff team.....
And it will have to be a miracle, for it to be one next year....where are the freaking building blocks? All I see is a top loaded roster that is not producing what they are being paid.....Eli, OV, Jenkins, Solder, OBj, Ogletree, Flowers, Stewart? What have they done in the first two games?
Eli is a shell of himself
OV can't get on the field
Solder not worth what we paid, an act of desperation
Jenkins, like Collins, has not played like 2016 last year or this so far
OBj got his money, but he is paid to score
Ogletree, average at best
Flowers? Good grief....
Stewart, slips on his first play
I singled these guys because they are some of your cap leaders......there are many more that you could single out....
ogletree is VERY good in run support.
solder played fine tonight, rest of OL really struggled.
OV is hurt and that sucks but he is a good edge player once he comes back.
jenkins missed the press early and gave up a big play, other than that he is a very good corner
i get the criticize for some, but those 4 really dont deserve it IMO
I'll repeat this...the Eagles had the 2nd pick in the draft and ended up taking a good player - Lane Johnson.
Two years later, they traded up and got their QB - Carson Wentz.
DG is trying to accumulate and acquire talent everywhere. It's his first year, it's going to take a couple years, minimum.
They were supposed to stop being pussies and taking half measures. Hiring the guy that lost out on the job in 07 to Reese is not wholesale changes. They should have taken the QB and just started over.

what was ownership supposed to do differently? Keep Reese and McAdoo?

And two weeks into the season, we'd be in precisely the same place we are now. And that's assuming that Darnold or whoever pans out in the long run.
he looks legit to me
We are fucked. No adjustments at all. The read option with Dak keeping it and gashing us big at least four times was fucking stunning.
Vernon would have made a big difference on those RPO's
he looks legit to me
He looked good to me but another poster jumped all over me when I reiterated what you said but I agree .....
Anyone who ever got sick of hearing how Chris Snee was Coughlin's son-in-law will really hate Pat Shurmur coaching his son on this team.
