I'd tell Noah that a buy-out no < Deng's (forfeited $) will be accepted.
Couldn’t agree more. I wouldn’t help this Guy one bit unless he’s giving up the same or more as Deng. At least Loul was a professional for the Lakers. I’d let him sit home all season and wait until FA to see if you actually need the space.
RE: Been close to 25 years since the last time... Â
end to get this done. Id def force him to give back a reasonable amount at least. I mean its not like he is going to be a malcontent and sabotage our season, we are going to suck this year anyway.
It was on YouTube and the Knicks Facebook page. Mostly propaganda, but it was pretty good - Breen was interviewing Mills, Perry and Fiz, and taking questions from the season ticket holders in the audience.
Fiz is great - very funny and personable. Was talking about player development and how you have to take your lumps sometimes - mentioned Kobe's early struggles, and how he took a "two-piece" from Chris Childs. Crowd went nuts. Brought it back to Knox, saying they're gonna make him defend the best players and get his ass kicked a little.
Fiz also said Frank added 15 pounds and grew an inch and a half. He was talking up Lance Thomas again - ugh. Noah didn't come up, nor did any Lee trade talk.
Fans kept pressing them on 2019 free agency, but they said this year's team deserves their undivided attention. Fiz: "If the culture isn't right, the players won't come."
Talking about leadership, Fiz told Knox to start with Mitchell Robinson: "You had a year of college, he didn't - just lead HIM for now." He later got a text from Knox saying the two of them had just finished a workout and were going out to get lunch.
Mills and Perry said their usual piece about culture, development, etc. Mills said they're not trading first rounders, nor are they giving up assets for players they can sign later (Jimmy Butler, without naming names).
I'm generally content with the way the Knicks have operated Â
said all of the right things. Nothing revelatory. I mean even trading for stars.. they can't. What are they giving up Knox? Frank? To give a guy like Butler a huge deal surrounded by KP and trash? Butler makes sense for LAL via trade. Not the Knicks.
They've been saying and doing the right things for Â

actually if they could get the wolves to take lee or hardaway it makes a ton of sense

The Wolves aren't trading Jimmy Butler for garbage + Lee or Hardaway c'mon. Butler is going to bring back good young talent and picks even with only 1 year left. The Knicks aren't in position to give up the few chips they have for Jimmy Butler and if anything trading say Knox or Frank (and picks) in a deal for Butler hurts doubly because it 100% hurts 2019 draft position as well (assuming they keep that pick).
pick and manage the cap from here on out. Getting out of bad contracts is as easy as being patient. Keeping draft picks is just a matter of refusing to trade them. We need to turn them into actual assets and good players. That will be the true test for the new front office. But I agree, so far so good.

i never said they would all i am saying is if they could make a trade involving thwm they still have a max slot open...
i am not giving up knox or mitchell for him but if trading butler meant also getting kyrie via free agency, i am ok giving up frank and that is coming from someone who loves frank...
all things being equal id love to add tk max guys without giving up anything
Berman says Lee wants to be traded to a contender Â
and gave them a list of a few teams with whom he'd sign an extension. Mills said the Knicks were staying away from these scenarios, and we don't have the ammo to pull it off anyway. Incredible how much power NBA players have.
Butler may be a great player but he is a drama queen. Be wary of that. He is a bit of a crybaby when he doesnt get what he wants.

That's definitely in the ballpark.

Nothing against Courtney Lee as a player or person, but we need out from under that contract.
So does Noah. Maybe they can package them to sweeten the deal.
🤪

We traded one away last year, don't need another.......
