Why does Eli still want to play this on this team?

exiled : 9/17/2018 9:06 am
We keep going back and forth about whether the team should or shouldn’t have stuck with Eli, but at this point, why does Eli stick with the team?

Total mismatch of personnel. Don’t tell me about other QBs playing well behind crappy lines. OL play has diminished league-wide, which makes the Giants line the worst of the worst. THe team picked up one solid lineman, but it’s not like anyone thought Solder was a magic bullet.

Eli knows—he KNOWS—he can’t be effective with the status quo. Eli never struck me as a guy who’s not fully aware of his strengths and weaknesses—or the team’s. Why does he hang in there getting pummeled season after season when he has never been and never will be a QB who can overcome such horrid “protection?”

to themselves.

This is what he knows.

The money doesnt hurt either.

But he may want to hang them up after getting his clock cleaned more this year.
Give me a break with the woe is Eli crap

He's getting paid ridiculous money and doing very little positive for the team.
Eli doesn't have PTSD
Coach Red Beaulieu : 9/17/2018 9:23 am : link
He has Intra Traumatic Stress Disorder.
I don’t think it’s about money

You’d think pride would step in once he recognized he couldn’t be successful.
I hope Eric

places a moratorium on Eli thread after today. Tough to read BBI this morning.

Eli Manning is what he is - he is actually doing relatively well, considering the defenses that have been thrown at him, in combination with the abilities of the offensive line charges with clearing paths and keeping him clean in the pocket.

I didn't tape the game last night, but I'd find it interesting to put a clock on all of the Giants' passing plays, and to see the success rate when Eli has MORE than a certain amount of time (arbitrary number, 3 seconds) versus the plays where he is immediately, or very quickly under fire.
