Coaching - snapping the ball

NYG007 : 9/17/2018 9:37 am
I won't pile on to Eli and terrible OL last night. However, one thing I simply can't stop hating is the 14 years of running up and screaming "50 is the Mic" and snapping it at 0 or 1. Like he just discovered the winning lottery #?

I mean, how many coaches do we have to have? Someone, anyone, tell Eli to run the f*cking play. Our audibles simply do not work because we don't have the line to execute the switch. Legit, every play is a nightmare, for years now. So how about we do what everyone except Tom Brady does and run the play. Snap the ball at 14/15 and play!

Shurmur has 14 more games

to prove he’s as good a playcaller as he was in Minny. I believe he is. I’ll be patient as always, until and if my faith takes a hit. And yes, we sucked last night.
To me its not the who is the Mike

call, as I really couldn't care less, it is the fact that even when hurrying up we take forever on the play clock. We could have run another play before the 2 minute warning but spent way too much time just getting folks in position and calling signals to snap the ball. The same thing happened I believe at the end of the 3rd quarter.

At one point eli had completed 16 of 20 I believe but for 98 yards. You can't get people to give space if you throw like its a running game. Hell, our passing game is literally 4 yards and a cloud of dust.

Barkley, 14 catches for under 90 yards.. WTF.
Its easy to bash the players

but the Giants were badly out-coached on both sides of the ball last night.

The difference on the scoreboard was far greater than the difference in talent. At least on paper.
