presumably because he was tired. My wife told him he could wear his Eli Manning jersey and he lit up and bounced to school. She sent me pictures and i felt sad and happy at the same time-maybe the end is close for Eli but my son is so innocent that he thinks the world of him.
I was so down on the Giants and Eli last night (and the offensive line) but seeing my son beaming in his jersey and telling his mom that all the kids at school are going to love it reminded me why I’m a Giant fan and why I’m an Eli fan. And how much I love my son!
I’m at work so I don’t have time to write much more but I just thought I’d share this. It made me so happy when the team is so shitty. New York Giants pride.
That’s the first thing I thought of haha. They’re only 3 year olds so I doubt that will happen.
I try not to talk about honest criticism of the Giants in front of him, I want him to enjoy his sports unlike his crazy dad.
Stu11 - that is great - I actually like the guys from Flushing and he still watches and roots for them to win.
This is why I wanted to share this-3 year old kids are not assholes like Clams won’t comment on his jersey other than to say it’s “cool” or be impressed with it. Sometimes it’s nice to think about.
He will have to move out.
I agree with this assessment. This is not a pro Eli thread. Just a little levity at a frustrating time. He can watch football without hating it.
Maybe the Eli jersey is replaced by a different player, maybe it's not, but cherish these moments because they are fleeting.
I live metro-west Boston and the Friday before SBXLVI was "Patriots day" up here and kids were encouraged to wear Patriots gear.
My 8 year old daughter wore her pink Eli Manning jersey to school and wore it proudly. Now that she's 16, I'm a little scared of her rebellious nature that she still has, but I loved it in 2012.
I wore my NY hat to work today. Win, lose or draw they're your team dammit. Dammit.
