With all the pessimistic posts out there right now, here’s some food for thought: Don’t give up. Not yet. It’s a bad look for us, Giants fans. It’s not the NY Giants way. This may be a foreign thought to some, but something crazy could happen—we could improve. It’s a futuristic thought, i know, but bear with me. I thought Chris Collinsworth (for once) made a fairly decent point when he said that the Giants offensive linemen aren’t being beaten physically, they’re being beaten mentally. We’re not talking about Marshal Newhouse being bullrushed into Eli’s lap. Or Weston Richburg. We’re screwing up stunts and twists. And for the most part, it was the same thing in the Jags game. We can fix that. All 5 of our offensive linemen have the physical tools to get the job done. These 5 guys are brand new. And for the most part, they don’t strike me as guys that are gonna give up. Giants fans need to rally around this team, not mourn them. Or trash them. Or write them off. When the line plays better, Eli will play better. When bith those things happen, this team will take off. It will happen folks. Will we be out of playoff contention by time it happens? Maybe, but let’s hope not. Out of yesterday’s nightmare, there were strides on the last two drives. Tiny strides, but strides. I say rally around this team. CIRCLE THE WAGONS!
First half very rough due to all the changes
Second half things start to click with the new systems and they win some upset victories. Everyone feels good going into next season.
But yeah, rah rah sis boom bah and all that.
Our only TD was because of a busted play....
You know that the Indians sometimes won when we circled the wagons, right?
They also opened up 3-0.
I was in New Orleans (on business) at the start of that 7 game losing streak and stayed over to see the Giants at the Superdome.
Establish the run and then go play action. We can also do a couple screens in every series.
Time to simplify and go from there.

Have you seen our OL, TEs, and FB block?

Then I say to just run the ball. Power football all day long. Line Barkley up with a Fullback. Ellison at TE and Shepard and OBJ at WR to start. Then rotate Evan Engram in with Shepard and OBJ to give a 2 TE look.

Yes. So you are saying just give up? They are having problems picking up stunts and slot blitzes. We run block so at least we have a chance. What they are doing now is not working.

You did not watch the game last night, and saw our OL try to run block, and our FB(how did this guy even make the roster last year?) whiff on blocks!

I saw every play. I am basically just picking the lesser of 2 evils. Letting the defense pin their ears back and go is not something we need. You don't like our FB then put old man Stewart as the FB and go from there.
JAX was tough and honestly Rod Marinelli has Eli's number at this point (hate to say it). But the Texans are 0-2 and the Saints almost lost to the Browns yesterday (thank god we don't play them in the Dome this year). Let's see if we scrape out a couple wins over the next few weeks and hopefully by the time these guys get it together they'll still be mathematically in the playoff race. It's a long season, let's not completely write off '18 just yet.

LMAO when the FB completely whiffed on the RDE on that one play and Eli got sacked I literally just screamed WHAT THE FUCK!!!
Granted I am not an OLman and consider it a win if I can touch my toes. We seems to be spun around like a top.

same here. these are our guys, coach them up.
