Drop Kick kickoffjust happened

when I was a kid. The guy across the street taught me how to drop kick.

But why would you want to?

He was amazing here at Texas.

Would have been worth a mid rounder for sure.

In that case they were kicking off from the 50 due to a penalty. By drop kicking, you basically get a great hard arc on the ball without kicking it through the end zone.

btw, I've always been surprised that the drop kick isn't used on onside kicks. A) it's harder for a defender to follow the ball due to the additional movement pre kick, and B) it gives a bit more control over angle.
