My big take away is that Kim knows that Jimmy helped her get Mesa Verde. That is why she was frantically trying to get Jimmy to stop what he was about to do. They have definitely grown apart, but now we know why she was so emotional over chuck's death. She felt somewhat responsible. She's starting to see how bad Saul can get, and she's starting to not want to have anything to do with him.
No, I think that's in the plans, Mike said they need some R&R, and I also think that Kai doesn't survive much longer.
Absolutely, but it's kind of hard to have sympathy for Hector Salamanca, no?

The Giligans just wants you to blur your empathy lines. Everyone had good and bad sides.

Agree, same with Breaking Bad.
I think she has some of the same things Jimmy has as far as not going down the straight and narrow. She's taken on some PD cases where she's getting down and dirty, and now I think she's going to get dirty again with the case Jimmy asked her to help with.
She tried the nice, logical way and you could just see her blood about to boil when the DA called Jimmy a lowlife, or whatever it was. Now she wants to roll up her sleeves and play dirty and I think that's what she was thinking when she called Jimmy and told him not to do what he was going to do.
She's got a plan and I'm really starting to wonder if she's what makes Jimmy into Saul. Shes definitely got a dark side to her and it's not like Jimmy had to pull her kicking and screaming into things. She's right there with him and now it looks like she's taking the lead. I have a sneaky feeling she's behind the conversion to Saul.

This is why I like these threads. It gives me another way of looking at things.
Maybe the opening scene wasn’t to show them growing apart, but rather how life has become methodical and neither is getting a thrill out of what they are doing. They both need some spice in their life.
He used it in some of his scams with his scam buddy (died a season or two ago, but saw Jimmy using the name in a flashback to the slipping Jimmy days).
Now, he's handing out business cards for his drop phone business with the name.
Kim has been getting guilty clients off on technicalities. My take is that she knows the end results are similar, but she's trying to tread a fine line between using the law to help her clients escape justice and abusing the law to do the same.

The difference is that Kim feels guilty over cons that hold a little more weight. Jimmy feels absolutely no remorse.

They showed them sleeping in the same bed, with a line down the center of the screen. Together but separate.

And she “crossed the line” when she put her leg on him.

Yup that was added to the scene for a reason. I generally agree that Kim is getting lured by her own dark side, and I’m guessing something happens to cause her downfall, triggering Jimmy to go “full Saul”. He’s pretty much there already of course...but caring about Kim is the last thing potentially keeping him somewhat on the straight and narrow

Saul knows the danger of playing with the bad guys and can thinking 10 steps ahead. Kim unfortunately does not and this will get her killed or in jail.
He doesn't want him to get better. He's in the perfect state to terrorize him
