With Halapio out for the season, he should be going to IR. A corresponding move is expected for the 53 man roster.
Neither Giants.com nor BBI reflect such a move yet.
The center signed at the start of the season (Spencer Pulley #77) is already in the 53 man roster.
So, what roster move is expected / desired / wanted?
Maybe he can play RT.
He's fast enough to be a legit stretch the field guy.
I don't think Latimer is that guy.

I believe Coleman signed with the Pats
And then was released a week later when they traded for Gordon.
Immediate upgrade for RG/RT.

The Pats cut him already, he is a FA again.

I hit enter too soon. Imagine being both young and fast with a cost-controlled contract, yet the team dumps him in favor of a guy who is a drop of hot piss from being out of the league forever.
Why isn't he on a team if any good? Health issues? Desire to play?
While we still would be on the hook for Ereck's salary as it is guaranteed, we do have $5M in cap space. I'm not one of the Win Now flag wavers, but if a player such as Luke can contribute on a 1 year deal, it might give the team a boost in it's confidence to Get Better. Heck, Flowers is gone after this season so if Luke comes in and shows a competency to get the job done, then sign him to a longer contract in the offseason. Having $5M to spend and not spending it doesn't do anyone any good.

How can it be both an Ivy-leaguer and a dummy?

But Luke Joeckel is available, and only 26.

I was with you until the last sentence. Not spending the $5M on Joekel doesn't mean we can't use it elsewhere, so it only makes sense if he can come in and contribute. Preferably, if it's a one season trial to see if he can hold up, with the expectation that he'll be extended if he does.

I think you just stated what I wanted to but clearer. Sure we could use the $5M on any player that can contribute. While having cap space available is imperative to sign future extensions, not using allocated cap space is no benefit either. I look at teams such as the Browns as being an abject failure of management and ownership. They have $55M in cap space. With the cap going up each year, they will never be up against the cap. Bottom line is winning, and they historically have not done a lot of it. Their fans deserve better. They should be churning their roster until they have clear upgrades.

I'd worry about replacing Omameh before Flower. He was putrid.
This article speculates that if Omameh continues his poor play, the Giants could move Greco to RG and put Pulley in at C 247 Sports - ( New Window )
What about Flowers to guard, haven't heard that discussed yet. It's the last ditch effort with a failed tackle.

Thankfully they didnt. Other than a bonafide franchise QB, I wouldnt give up two firsts for Mack or anyone.

WR Corey Coleman passed though waivers unclaimed.

Personally, I am surprised he was given an invite to tryout. Perhaps Beatty too is getting a clean slate from DG and Shurmer.

And Treadwell just caught a TD pass on Sunday and is still with his original team.
Paging my buddy KWALL! :)
Or, perhaps, Alias Undercover?
Greco is now the center.

is he worth signing? I know nothing about him.

in 2017 he was on a one year $8M deal with the Seahawks, started 11 games, got hurt, so they didn't bring him back.
Joeckel is the kind of move they should be making if they lose on Sunday. Bring in former promising players and hope they catch lightning in a bottle. Joeckel has started at both LT and G so he has some versatility. He hasn't been bad during his career, not great either, but he just can't seem to stay healthy. Beggars can't be choosers.
OL please .....
